Thai Vietjet Airline

Post by tutone » July 3, 2023, 4:38 pm

Just wondering about some of your experiences flying with Thai Vietjet Air from Udon to Bangkok. My only real concern is their on time performance and if they tend to cancel often. They have a time slot which is better than Thai Air for me to make a connection in Bangkok. They do get a lot of bad reviews on the internet, but most airlines do, and perhaps the Udon-BKK service is not so bad. Anyway any insights or travel stories are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Only used them once, during the Pandemic. THAI Smile cancelled my flight twice and cancelled flights for several days as well. Had a booked international flight. So it was a real problem. The only airline that flew that day was Vietjet. Left and arribed on time.

It was more expensive than Thaismile, so not used again so far.

Very similar circumstances as @rick, only the once and would only use em again as a last resort. Very old aircraft with a new paint job and a lot of rattles. Landed on time BUT parked on the apron at Swampy miles away from the terminal and took forever for the busses to get us in there.

Have not flown them that I remember...
