I would use this for sure (if I lived in Udon, but in the mean time once or twice a year for holidays).

Would be good to see thai smile start flights to Phuket also to compete with AirAisa

Unfortunately dought Thai Smile will add any routes as good chance it will be absorbed by Thai Air by end of this year.

Like Nok and other LCC's, AirAsia will start/stop services typically at short notice. The pre-Covid U-Tapao service was deemed "seasonal" and dropped despite being popular out of season.

Thai Smile serves Kohn Kaen better than UTH so doubt there's any feasibility for a HKT non-stop.

Thai Smile is a wholly owned subsidiary of Thai Airways already. Thai Smile seem more about taking over Thai Airways shorter-haul and regional routes so that the latter can try and increase profits by focusing on the long-haul intercontinental market. That redirection would hinder any domestic expansion by Thai Smile
