British Airways returning to BKK

Another non-stop flight option for the UK coming in the autumn.

Bangkok will be served out of Gatwick three days/ week.

What remains to be seen is cost. Will a possible higher cost for non-stop be acceptable versus a one stop flight. Time will tell.

The article states that Gatwick was chosen as BA's operations costs there are lower than Heathrow's. They also won't be offering First Class travel on the 787's they'll use. Their non-stop flights to KUL which has a different passenger demographic, will use Heathrow.

Non-stop will always hold a higher premium. I would use either of the two existing non-stop carriers but I have no need or desire to transit any of London's airports.
