Cheaper Airfares in Udon

Post by Muni » February 7, 2008, 12:24 pm

I travel a lot & normally buy my tickets from the THAI office in town because online prices are not good for short trips. I had made reservations with THAI & was going to pay for the tickets when I noticed a small travel agency in the corner of the Udon hotel, directly across the street from THAI office. I thought I would check on flights from Udon to Bangkok on NOK Air or 1-2-Go & maybe save some money.

To make a long story short, the girls at the agency got me a better fare on my long haul flight to the USA. All together they saved me about 5000 Baht. It's not all that much money but better in my pocket than TG's.

The office is directly across the street from THAI ticket office. You can park in the Udon Hotel parking lot & it is on the corner. Their phone number is 042 326 358 but the 2 girls who own the agency are very cute, sweet & speak good English.... much nicer to go talk to them in person

Nok Air flights are always cheaper when you book direct with the airline via their web site.

International fares are always cheaper with flight originating from Thailand, for example last year was quoted 38,000 return Bangkok London Bangkok from agent in UK, went to agent here and was quoted 32,000 for the same flight same day same class. :D

Their email is ilove_trading@yahoo.com

I live here & always buy my tickets in Thailand. I fly a lot & am pretty much loced in to StarAlliance. But I've learned that THAI online is not always the best price...many times their office is cheaper. I was surprised that the travel agent could get an even better price.

Man, I can't wait until I am in Thailand permanently.
But I did find a great price from Seattle, WA. USA to BKK,
It is round trip for 395.00 USD but on Northwest airlines, But I also found a flight on Asiana airlines for 540.00 same start and ending points also round trip.
If anyone else needs to know the web site, it is

Here
Of course they change prices daily

That's a nice site. Please let us know how it goes if you purchase tickets from this company.

Well, i thought I would let you all know that the amount for the flight on consolidated was basically what we call in the States a bate and switch.
The price listed was not available although I had resubmitted the online request just before calling with my reference number. So i will not be using them.
But I did end up with a nice round trip coach fare on China Air for 1036.00 USD, and I was able to select my seating online for all eccept for my state side flight.
( Good Leg room for a big man )
Hope that helps someone
