Little ones (Babies)

Post by Buom Pouy » January 19, 2006, 4:56 am

Trying to organise the annual Lao family reunion for LW in Udon, we have done this before but not with our new 5 month old son, I was wondering if anyone was able to recommend a local doctor for the little one. LW doesn

Go to AEK Udon is my recommendation. It's private of course, but the treatment is personal, quick and very professional. To a cynic like myself it still seems of a very good standard, and on a farang income (I do not know your circumstances) is cheap.

I trust taking my wife (and kids occasionally) there, and I am, believe me!, hard to please on this subject.

p.s. I was informed this very evening that another little monkey is on the way, new year "spirit" no doubt  . And this I will entrust this one too. Gawd the 6 y/o is going to be hopping mad if its not another little girl that she can play with!

I can't give any personal recommendations. But my daughter (6mos) was born there and my wife continues to take her there for follow care. Including my 3 yr old. She claims it's best hospital in town.

All this baby talk and my wife feeling broody, I am going to have to explain to her that my tie with the little pistol on and the initials I.F.O.B under, is not really a gun club I belong to.
There will be hell to play.

From birth to current day,all my children have been going to the Aek Udon.

Too many doctors out here just throw the drugs at you with no explanation. At the Aek Udon you get a detailed diagnosis and then they run through the prognosis with each drug explained.

In the pre Aids era, to convince a young lady she wouldn't get preggies not using a condom, the govt gave everyone having the snip a tie to wear.

Well actually I think its now time given my middle years to get the qualification for the IFOB tie, and, by all accounts, sitting tall in a saddle is the last thing you will want to do for a few days :yikes:

More seriously, thank you Brian; an unplanned, unexpected, but very pleasant surprise for me in the New Year!

Well the current rent house is a 3 bedroom....and what happens?

"We" do one room, I did bunk beds for "ours" and my neice who lives with us has her own room; Good idea, I thought, for a 19 y/o girl who needs a bit of privacy, thinking the farang way.

Most nights it's wifey saying "same room cos save power for fan", and the kids would rather sleep on the floor in my neices room, its a family and fun thing for them.

A number 4 bedroom will be "my" space if it transpires! Or I will do a "potting shed" thing. To counter an oft quoted BG and bar saying, you can't take the farang out of the farang, can you??

Reminded me of a funny incident when my then-husband had a vasectomy. My son was quite young (you really have no idea what's coming out of their mouth next!) and he informed my best friend that his dad had just been to the doctor to be neutered. I think he had been spending too much time with my cousin, the vet!

Well it's generally known that when a dog or cat is castrated it becomes more affectionate and doesn't stray so far from home, it also stops "marking its territory", if thats been a problem  So maybe thats the way to go :(

AEK for us as well !!! First class...
We also spent a fortune on a teak dining table and chairs, but everyone prefers to sit on a straw mat and eat in front of the TV. I'm the only one who uses it.

aek udon is good choice, i use paolo now, but both offer quality services. quicker and more personal service provide, as mentioned, private, so bit more baht, but worth it for the convenience, well worth it.
