Hi, can anybody recommend an Ophthalmologist specialising in Glaucoma treatment? Preferably in Udon, but I am happy to travel ifneeded.
Many thanks

Somchai, I highly recommend Dr. Usa. You can see her at the Army Hospital on Tuesday mornings. She also works at Bangkok Hospital Udon if you want to pay the inflated prices at a private hospital. I went through two other ophthalmologists before I discovered this jewel. She is first class and speaks excellent English.
Colossians 2:8-10...See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ. For in HIM dwells all the fullness of the GODHEAD bodily; and you are complete in HIM, who is the head of all principality and power.

Yes she's good, but not all of the diagnostic equipment at Bangkok Hospital is in working order, as I discovered after taking a series of tests there earlier this year. She didn't charge me for the tests that were taken on machines she knew weren't in working order; I found it strange, I mean, why bother? Maybe things are better at the army hospital, but I just returned today from a quick trip to Bangkok to see my ophthalmologist at Rutnin Eye Hospital--Dr. Hatthairat. Expensive, but my eyesight is worth it.semperfiguy wrote: ↑September 24, 2021, 8:34 amSomchai, I highly recommend Dr. Usa. You can see her at the Army Hospital on Tuesday mornings. Rutnin is the premier eye hospital in Thailand. I've had both cataract surgeries there and found them to be absolutely professional in all aspects. A friend of mine (deceased) suffered from glaucoma for many years and spoke very highly of Rutnin as well. I had worn eyeglasses since childhood to correct significant eye problems and had never had a precise eye exam like I received at Rutnin Eye Hospital. I highly recommend them.
Have you given any thought to checking with any of the hospitals in Khon Kaen to see if they're better equipped to deal with your eye problems?
