Public or Private
First question, does ur wife have private insurance or is it the Public system ?
If so, then AEK , or Paulo, or Wattana in Udon are all ok for this, your wife gets the extra care, where as the public system, gets crowded , and her family would be expected to assist on the ward so to speak.

Well I have heard some bad reports on Paulo!!!One of the forumites was recently there and they had him hooked up to a cancer patients IV.Since the patients name was on the bag ,it was obvious that it wasn't his!He started complaining that they were killing him as he was feeling pretty bad!Unforgivable nursing care
AEK every time for me, give them a visit.
Another option could be to return to your country of birth if not Thailand and you have enough time. If it were the UK you would be covered for "care", I use the term loosely an you may find it easier to register the baby for dual nationality (a very worthwhile consideration for the baby).
Good Luck and hope all goes well.
