I've asked this question before an never got an answer. I've looked into this for my soon to be 9yr old and all I found was the Sports Program offered by the Physical Education college (Sports college). There are a variety sports offered, but only during summer school break. Registration should be available soon.

I made the following post last year...

I am interested in setting up a boys football team (English style) here in Udonthani age range approx 7 - 14 yrs , evening training twice per week (location needed) and hopefully if we could find some other teams to play then a game on a Sunday . Just a thought at the moment and would need some other parents to assist as ive got the shop to run and all that entails .
I would buy/sponsor the team kit and a few new balls .

Any one else interested in getting involved ?? , just nothing for this age group to do in Udon , i know my son is 10 and needs to do some thing other than computers and fishing.

Mash ..... if interested call me 0860991667 or drop in Chern Chim for a chat..

Sounds interesting, but before you invest anytime (or money) into this you should find out if there are any "other teams" out there. Last year I posed that question to my wife and she's wasn't aware of any organized football leagues for youngsters.

Occasionally my son kicks the ball around with friends at a local school, but that's about it. We're waiting for this years schedule for the Sports college, but my son hasn't made up his mind if he wants to play sports or go to temple (monk).

Some of the schools have teams already but find it difficult to find someone.someplace to play against , i know Don Bosco have apitch but do they have a teanm , my son goes to Udon Christian school , very pleased with it and hes happy there but zero sports facilities hence my idea to get a team together.

The new sports stadium near Makro is months/years away from completion and evening training needs needs floodlights etc. I hope somtime in the future to see Udon FC in the Thai premier league i miss the crack going to the games as i followed Chonburi for a few years , i was the fat bloke with a half Chonburi half Scunthorpe Utd banner at the games loads of folks asked me wheres Scuntorf ?? - i told them its the English version of Mecca crossed with Lam Chabang industrial estate.

MASH ....... Lets suck it and see papa. ( wait n see what happens interest wise sir)

I was thinking the same thing regarding the future sports stadium, hopefully they'll have something planned for organized sports events for the youth.

I'll keep my ears open for any new information and post here if something comes up.

ok mash and papa - I understand that the ball is at our half....
I have a couple of ideas which I will like to share with your.
I will be abroad for the next couple of weeks. I know your shop, Mash, so I will pop-in there...hope that papa, among others, will join us for a beer or two at that time. I will suggest a date on this forum when I know some more exact about my return date to Udon.
A lot to think about ...first and most the pitch...! And I would not have any problem in supporting the rental fee for a field if it just look like a playable piece of grass.
Thank your for your engament in this matter.
