Boxing Forecast

Post by SJP17 » July 13, 2012, 9:55 am

Couple of big fights this weekend , so ill give my predictions ,

Amir Khan vs Danny Garcia , for me khan wins this by stoppage , middle rounds , i feel he is too fast for Garcia and should be able to outbox him easily as long as he doesnt go gung ho and get dragged into a slugging match , im going for Khan to win by KO

David Haye vs Dereck Chisora , Haye should win this one early by KO round 5 or 6 , he possesses real KO power and is a far better boxer than Chisora , Chisora's likley tactic will be to pressure Haye and in that case he is likely to walk onto a big shot , Chisora does have a chance if he can take Haye into the later rounds and tire him out , but i just cant see past Haye by KO

our boy Shane Cameron has just come back from sparring with David Haye. Cameron also sparred for Tyson, but he reckons Haye is much better than Tyson, and is a very skilled boy if he keeps his head...the trip must have done our bro some good, as he knocked out some american dude the other week, and is now looking for a go at one of the russian bros..

Haye is a good boxer , but i think a prime Mike Tyson would have destroyed him within a few rounds , be good to see a competitive fight with the Klitshkos , last one Vlad had with Tony Thompson was a poor fight , ill have to watch a few of this Camerons fights on youtube and see what hes got

Well that is the ONLY way Khan is going to win, if the fight is taking place in America!!!

As a matter of interest, do you know the identity of the last non American non Mexican World boxing title holder, (other than two certain Russian heavyweights!), who successfully defended or won, ON POINTS, a World title fight against an American in a match staged in America??

I have been trying, without success to find date, time and TV channel to watch the Khan/Garcia fight. Can you advise this information please? Thanks.

Haye vs Chisora , is on the same streaming site www.vipbox.tv ,

Im surprised you would prefer to see Garcia win rather than your fellow englishman , watch a few youtube clips of Garcia's dad running his mouth off and you will be back in the Khan camp ,

Thankyou sir .

As for Khan ,,,,,, he hails from a similar part of the uk to a few mates of mine and his "out of the ring " activities leave alot to be desired , Garcias pop running off is normal promo stuff to fuel a false sense of hatred ..inturn veiwing figures//revenue ....CASH

Agreed that you do see a lot of this trash talking but ive never seen it from a boxers dad , he has behaved like a child in my opinion and shown no respect to Khan ,

Amir Khan v Danny Garcia
Venue: Mandalay Bay Convention Centre, Las VegasDate: Sunday 15 July First bell: 04:00 BST

David Haye v Dereck Chisora
Venue: Upton Park, Date: Saturday 14 July Coverage: Live text commentary on BBC Sport website from 21:00 BST

Haye scaled 210lbs at a feisty weigh-in, the lightest he has been for any of his six heavyweight fights, with Chisora totalling 247lbs.

i think he will be far too quick at this weight , but will his punches still have the same snap ? this is gonna be explosive dont miss it guys.

I think Haye will be too slick for Chisora ,,, with a mid rounds/fight KO the likely outcome.

Khan to win (Dam) late rounds stopage of some kind .

Well well Khan gets KO , his chin has always been questioned , i really thought he'd be a class above Garcia , but its boxing anything can happen ,

If only he had stuck to Freddie Roaches tactic ! but after the second round he made the mistake of fighting to close and leaving himself open , interesting to see who he fights next ? Bredis Prescott :)

Well done Garcia !

Disappointing result for us Brits. :(
I don't understand why Khan gets involved in a slugfest. He has the ability to out-box most opponents but instead goes toe to toe.

He just needs to box to his limits , he doesnt have a good enough chin to go toe to toe at world level , remember what Willie Limond did to him and he is a light puncher , if Khan had listened to what Freddie Roach told him he would have won this fight

This beating will be hard for Khan to get over as it was a proper hiding ,,,,,,, thers no way he will ever be the best pound for pound fighter as he predicts cant see him doing anything else much now he will just drift off into showbiz or quizz shows..

Haye looked and boxed very good imo ......enuf said different class to Chisora . ,,,,
