Gyms with Day Rates in Town
Re: Gyms with Day Rates in Town
9D Sports is the best gym in town.
Most gyms have a day rate, usually 250 baht.

Thanks.
I ended up in BD Fitness and it was a good experience.
100 baht a session. Very reasonable and basically everything you need for a decent workout.

Latest news a brisk walk around most of Udons Lakes is free, daily rate zero . Exercise is good for the soul even better when you are not paying to use tainted and mainly useless equipment .
Re: Gyms with Day Rates in Town
Have you been to the gym at 9D on the Ring Road? The facility is kept spotlessly clean, equipment only a couple of years old and both looks and functions like it was just unpacked yesterday. I believe that on a monthly basis, it's THB 1,500/month for unlimited visits.
Re: Gyms with Day Rates in Town
And, more good news KP. Gyms now have cooling devices such as fans and air conditioning.

Good info, thanks. How busy was it and what time did you go there?
Here you go KP, take a look.

Our rate of muscle loss accelerates from around the age of 60. Resistance training is important.

Re: Gyms with Day Rates in Town
I did join a Gym when i FIRST RETIRED , however generally I found it a waste of my time , spoke to my friendly physio ( he who helped me following my back operation . he stated Walking and gardening quite enough , as I continue to do both, I am a tad over weight but still manage everything , but NOT climbing trees to prune, no difference to 20 years ago.
Although takes longer to do some tasks .
So why spend money to do what I already do makes no sense to me. Those that live in Condos or really tiny hpouses , I understand but me I am bust most days .

My guess is that the Sloth Gym in Khon Kaen does not overcharge.

I went on Thursday around 4pm and although there were a few people there it wasn't busy. The space is large and split into 2 sections.tamada wrote: ↑July 15, 2022, 11:22 amGood info, thanks. How busy was it and what time did you go there?

I make sure I walk 10,000 steps everyday (usually outside) but I like to eat and if I don't do some exercise I get fat. I much prefer playing team sports but my legs won't carry me around a football or rugby pitch anymore. The gym is a price I have to pay. Such is life.

When you're younger, you can eat what you like, drink what you like, and still climb in to your 36-inch-waist trousers and zip them closed. Then you reach that age- 24, 25- your muscles give up, they wave a little white flag, and without any warning at all, you're suddenly a fat b%st%rd.
Re: Gyms with Day Rates in Town
Thanks for that. I looked online and they're pretty quiet through mid/late afternoon, Mon-Fri but mobbed in the evenings. The weekends look quieter across the board so it will be the 9 to 5 crowd working out after work and then they blow it all away over the weekend.angsta wrote: ↑July 17, 2022, 9:29 amI went on Thursday around 4pm and although there were a few people there it wasn't busy. I hear ya. My health and fitness "speed bump" came quite late, maybe 62. The Covid lock downs and lack of travel made it worse for me. Suddenly got motivation about a year ago and playing catch up ever since.
