Why don`t they have a big sponsorlogo? That would look much better instead of a big empty space on my big belly... :D

What sort of price and what are the size ranges ?

Take it there sold at shop near bus station ?

cheers

The new shirts are not for sale yet. Maybe not until start of the 2nd half of the season.

Results today:
Sisaket United 0-1 UDFC :D
Loei City 3-0 Sakhon Nakhon

No 31 scored a late winner for UDFC. Teams no 5-8 in the table all drew today, and 4th place Surin play Ubon tomorrow.

And here is the goal.

Difficult to say if Udon was better or not, but they take the points back home.

UDON THANI FC - The 2014-season

Post by Svein66 » May 26, 2014, 8:33 am

Result Sunday:
Surin City 1-3 Ubon UMT

Table:
Ubon UMT 34 points
Loei City 26
UDFC 25
Surin City 18
Nong Bua Lamphu 17
Nong Khai 15

One more game until half-season break. UDFC will play bottom team Mukdahan (only 6 points) twice in a row now, and that should be 6 points for UDFC, while Loei play Nong Khai twice and Surin play Nong Bua twice. Will UDFC be 2nd after these games? I think so... :D

UDON THANI FC - The 2014-season

Let's hope Udon makes the most of the next two games. I'm always worried about playing the same team two games in a row(things seem to 'even up' , the 'lesser' team gets something and the same result is unlikely?) but perhaps that's just me. On this occasion, there happens to be a fair break between the two matches.
Nearly half way and it certainly looks as if something very drastic has to occur to prevent Ubon NOT winning the League. Is it safe to think it's a two horse race between Loei and Udon for second place, with a seven point gap between Udon and fourth-placed Surin? The break, new signings may shake things up a bit.
A nice family trip to support Udon plus at Loei again later in the season seems likely.

UDFC vs Mukdahan City this Saturday at 6pm. The league is taking a 4-week break after this weekend, so this is the last chance to watch UDFC for a while.
A win is a must against bottom team Mukdahan. Since 2009 the clubs have met 10 times. UDFC has won 7 and there has been 3 draws. Goals 19-3. UDFC has won the last 4 meetings against Mukdahan (goals 11-1).

Perhaps I best not wear my recently delivered Palace shirt?
I can assure you that the black humour in Palace fans, playing against the bottom team, having not lost to them in ten meetings, would mean a cast iron guarantee of an away win!

It`s only David Moyes who can`t continue good statistics, Brian. UDFC will win. :D
And football shirts for London clubs are banned in the main stand this week... ;)

Well, I suppose you might get me thrown out for not wearing a shirt of the correct colour. :-" - seems to be a problem in Thailand.
And the heavies might be carrying more than handguns now. 8-[

UDON THANI FC - The 2014-season

Post by Svein66 » May 30, 2014, 7:48 am

Some news from other clubs in Udon`s league:
Nong Khai is releasing 10 players and getting 6 new players in the mid-season break. Maybe not this many changes only at Nong Khai. I think most clubs will have changes around those numbers next month...

Ubon UMT are leading the table and will be champions unless they do something that will see them being deducted a lot of points. The club itself are so confident that they will play in this season`s champions league, that they already have unveiled their champions league kit. The champions league is more than 4 months away and the season ain`t half way yet, so it`s a bit ridiculous to unveil the kit, but This is Thailand.
With UDFC already into their 2nd kit this season, I hope they won`t have a 3rd if they qualify for the champions league again...

Udon`s chairman is quoted as saying (according to google translate) "don`t underestimate Mukdahan", and "the last game of the 1st leg is important to us".

Confidence is one thing, taking things for granted another. Of course, Ubon should make it, but don't you just love it when smugness backfires? \:D/

The Udon Chairman and my mind obviously work the same. ;) Now, if only I had his money, I really would be a happy bunny. [-o< His residence, incidentally, (known as Toy Ting, excuse translation) is opposite the new Udon FC offices, Tahan Rd, same side as the Air Force base entrance. Wow!

I must try some of those sherberts if a game can be transformed into Barcelona v Real Madrid! Only kidding DM, pleased you enjoyed the match and party after.
Results are everything at present. Udon didn't slip up, did what was expected against the bottom club (i.e. won), but it wasn't a spectacle. With the mid-season break now and the way fixtures are arranged, the Clubs meet again in about a month, I think. Expect to see new faces in the Udon lineup, if the Chairman said he was to spend money to ensure promotion. Perhaps Mukdahan too, because they never really looked like getting anything out of this game.

I reckon the Udon Chairman could easily afford whatever Pulis is on, judging by his residence and promises on spending money. No idea about Mukdahan.
Whilst I hope Udon will reach the Champions League (and not make a cock up of it this season), I'm still very puzzled about Ubon. Another SEVEN goals yesterday, yet didn't look very special against Udon. The return game will be interesting. To beat teams regularly (every game, bar Udon's) may not be that unusual. But to do it with an average of five goals per game is. Are Ubon THAT good? Strange things in Thailand. 8-[

Result today:
Nong Khai 1-1 Loei City :D

This means that UDFC is in 2nd place half way through the season. They are 9 points behind Ubon and 1 point ahead of Loei. Surin in 4th place is 9 points behind UDFC.

UDFC has got a new coach today, but I don`t know why.
The name of the new coach is Wutthiwat Dangsamerkiat. He was also the coach in 2011.

UDON THANI FC - The 2014-season

My wife saw the Thai report, Svein. It appears the existing coach was committed to returning to a 'normal' job of some kind. I hope we can take that at face value and there's no undercurrent. I couldn't see a reason to change him otherwise. He has departed leaving the Club in a very good position to push on to the Champions League. I'm sure we would all have liked to see more goals, but the Club seems to lack quality strikers (to be corrected soon?), but we can't moan about what is proving again to be a very sound defence.
