Udon Thani FC - The 2013-season

Post by Svein66 » October 27, 2013, 7:28 am

Chiang Mai 3-0 Udon Thani
Sukhothai 2-3 Ang Thong
Nakhon Nayok 1-0 Paknampho NSRU

Udon has been really poor away from home in CL, lost all 3, but they have played the top 3 teams already, so it might be easier from now on.
Next 2 games are against Paknampho and they need to get at least 4 points. At the same time Chiang Mai and Sukhothai will play each other twice, and hopefully Sukhothai won`t get more than 2 points from those games.

Udon Thani FC - The 2013-season

Quite a blow that. Nothing settled yet but, regrettably, I'm coming to the conclusion that Udon are just not good enough. I'd be very happy to be proved wrong. Perhaps it's a learning curve, with other teams already having reached the play-offs in previous years?

Sorry for the travelling fans, particularly those where the game/result was the important thing over the partying. It's a long haul for the team not to get some reward and, of course, the third away defeat in a row. :(

Udon Thani FC - The 2013-season

Another quiet week from UDFC, no poster about the next game and mostly links from various websites posted on their FB-page. There is not much excitement to see at the club.
The next game are at home against Paknampho NSRU on Sunday at 6pm and the game will be shown live on SMMTV.

Super result for UDFC.
This time I didn't go because off the work in the rice fields.
But when they win the next game it will be full house against Chiang Mai.
Only I don’t understand that they play on a Holiday like Loi Krathong

Let's hope for a good result tomorrow.
Would make the Loy Kratong match very interesting.

I hope I'm wrong in thinking it will be unusual to beat the same team two weeks running. Three away games to date and haven't even managed a goal.
I guess the market people will be going again and they deserve some reward for their dedication.
Without checking the history again, if Udon lost, I think it goes against the record books for a team to gain promotion having lost four times.

It will be a very good weekend if Udon win, and Ang Thong and Sukhothai don`t.

Roi Et took their 5th win in six games today and are now 4 points above third place. Looking good for promotion for them. I`m very sure that group A are easier than B.

And with Roi Et gone from D2, UDFC will be well positioned to dominate D2 next season and mature a little more. Because both the field play and the organisation are not yet strong enough to be successful in D1, but we're getting closer.

In the mean time we'll be joining 'the market people' (whatever that may mean, Brian) in Nakon Sawan today, hopefully to celebrate our first away victory

In group A the 18 games has given 9 home wins, 4 draws and 5 away wins.
Roi Et has 3 games at home in the last 4 and should be able to get promotion, but I`m sure they haven`t forgotten last season when they lost the promotion in the last 2 games of the play-offs.

Should have been 2-1. The disallowed goal wasn`t behind in my view, so a big thanks to the linesman. :D

Results:
Paknampho BSRU 2-1 UDFC
Nakhon Nayok 0-1 Ang Thong

HT:
Sukhothai 1-0 Chiang Mai

With these results, and if Sukhothai is keeping their lead, I will say it`s over for UDFC. Anyway they`ll need at least 10 points from the last 4 games.
A freekick which the goalkeeper didn`t try to save, but just was watching the ball, gave Paknampho their win today. Poor!
