Nine Ball Tournament

Post by Dakoda » November 5, 2005, 8:05 am

If interested in playing in Nine Ball Tournament, there is a signup sheet at City Lodge. Think it will start after Nov 20. Sounds like playing two nights Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Clock. Must be a signup sheet at Clock too.

I think because it is on TV :!: Very popular in the states. Makes a nice night out drinking beer and coming home with more money than you left with on occasion :!: :)

most of the time it's 9 ball or 8 ball that is played, of course when I played 8 ball with the Brits, you had to double bank and then sink the ball, but that's another story......hehehehe. In the states it's either 9 or 8 ball.

As I mentioned in a previous post, I saw a really ugly argument in Mojos one night about the different rules that U.S and Brits use when playing pool.
In the blue corner were about 12 U.S.Marines and in the red corner, 2 Brits.
Trouble is, it's difficult to come to an agreement on all rules before starting game. Different scenarios crop up during the game which cause the disagreements.

All tables should have a clearly defined set of rules displayed in an easily viewable area near the playing area.

Some chance
