Falang PhD quizzing Thai teachers

The Ms. is in BKK for a week of study on how to better teach their kids back in their schools.

She's a Thai language teacher with a "Masters" degree, not mathematics, science or history.

Today she sent me a pic of a quiz given them by the teacher with a PhD and they had two minutes to complete the three sections.

1. Correct this formula using 1 stroke. 5 + 5 + 5 = 550.
She reads a bit of English, but I doubt any of them there understood what was to be done.

2. Complete this sequence in a logical manner M T W T X X X
A bit easy but again, how many understood the directions? Sequence? Logical manner?

3. Write anything below..... with a blank space below the statement.

I'll give you a bit of time to figure them out, but remember they only had two minutes.

I cant understand the logic of this guy ( or his bosses) posing this to the group, which were ALL Thai language teachers.

Any thoughts?
