Hey Aarjay,

This is the type of post that is very helpful to me and was what i was looking for all along.

Not sure I agree with you about Pete though. Hes just annoyed that JS has taken it completely off topic. I can understand his frustration!

Thanks for taking the time to respond to my thread, much appreciated

Well Dermot that question is a lot harder... :D
My GF is 37 (still far younger than me... ) and, in the past, she has called 20ish Thai ladies that we both know as 'babies'. Her implication is that they are not mature and are likely to have childish reactions. Now, an outside observer might say 'Well she would say that' (ala Mandy Rice Davies :D ) as she would posibily like to discourage me from entertaining them as better prospect than her. & maybe there is some of that (although deep down she should know I am not like that) but, from personal observations, she is possibily not far short of the mark.
However!! It must be understood that unless the lady concerned is well experienced in "Falang" then she is batting on a new pitch, with very few references to help her though a problem. Plus, she is confronted with a male that holds all (in most cases) of the financial reigns of the relationship.
I have had disagreements ( :D ) with my TG but they are mainly based on misunderstandings between us. When all of the crap is cleared she SHOULD have told me something (or maybe actually thought she had, but I did not understand the 'comment' that she made had so much significance - because it was just 'thrown in' to a conversation 2 months ago) in the past which made the problem not that much of a problem.
You ALWAYS have to remember that Thai ladies do not like confrontation & that they will go to huge lengths to hide a bad situation from you - until it gets to (a Falang) a quite stupid situation that could have been sorted out easily!!
But, such is the beauty of living in Thailand!! :D :D

Perhaps being able to speak Thai may have helped?

Including if a member sends highly abusive PMs to another member.

But I will take your "advice", down another horlick's, change my pad, and toodle off to bed. :D

Well thank you for that unasked for advice Pete.
I am sure that you linguistical skills are well appreciated by your Major.
However - as usual - it is of zero help to the original question posted.

Good idea, and take your racist ideas to bed with you, Dermot and I are both Irish, funny how you picked on us both. Have a good think about box 3 tonight, and the is no apostrophe in Horlicks, in case you are too old to remember primary school. an apostrophe is used to announce a possessive, or to substitute for missing letters. Old age must be a sad thing, sorry.

Everybody please calm down.

To those of you who helped me I appreciate it, for those of you who took me to task over a very real question, your getting old so go to bed and get some sleep and wake up in a better mood! It was an honest question. Thanks again

My first reply was, then it was hijacked and became a free for all.
As usual, most of the replies were of zero help to any question asked, the were merely the rantings of senile idiots who have had..................................OK

Pete.
You have finally gone too far. You are banned, but I gather this is no new experience from Forums. :(

& I am sorry it had to as well EG...
However Pete had been warned a number of times by a number of moderators - by PM as well as on Forum.
He refused to accepted any of the advice he was given - or said he did & then did exactly the same the next posting.
I have no desire to ban anyone. I was told (by more than 1 member) that Pete was a habitual Troll of Thailand Forums & had already been banned by many - well infact ANY that he had joined in the past......but Admin decided to give him the benifit of the doubt. As is usually in the case that proved to be a sensible but short term approach!!!

Isnt everyone entitled to their opinion? Just becasue a moderator doesnt like what Pete said doesnt mean he should be kicked off the forum. What about fee speech?

There are alot of ramblings on this forum by guys that im sure go and cry in their beers down in Soi falang every night and talk about the old country! If they are entitled to their opinions why isnt Pete?

The PM he sent me (which I did not pass on to the mods, as I am capable of fighting my own battles) alone would have got him banned on most forums which I know about.

Oh dear , another generalisation. I am not sure, but I would hazard a guess that most of the guys on this forum don't go anywhere near Soi farang and if they do , it certainly wouldn't be to cry in their beer .
Ageing is a privilige denied to many .

The answer is no,IMO!As someone else mentioned,it might be your or our perception because of how we think!

IMO,many if not most of the young bargirls are because that is how they learn to manipulate for gain, plus the facts that are so young and ,in a sense, raise each other :(

The younger men seem so though,to me,as they ,mostly, don't learn to shoulder much responsibility as they grow up,while most of the women do.The women learn to continue spoiling them and the cycle goes on.

Your heading is very general and might have illicited more and better responses,if you had cited some examples of what you meant!!

Anyway, don't get wound up with JS,he likes to criticize and make comments about others titles, spelling, sources, etc.etc, possibly believes he is needed as a critic ,I don't know for sure, just guessing as he doesn't initiate mant ''title threads'' himself!Maybe afraid that he will get back what he gives!
I try to take my own advice in dealing with him,but I am not always successful! Once even got a ''warning'' from him not to challenge him, because he would take it up!Maybe we will meet in person sometime, but I doubt it as he doesn't seem to cross paths with many of us,probably for good reason!

Some interesting inferences (and innuendo) there Stan - none of it supported of course. [-(

I probably initiate as many threads as you do, but as UM does not have the facility to check the numbers you'll just have to take my word for that. And as I have stated on numerous occasions, I am happy to stand up for what I say, and apologise if I am wrong - including to you on one occasion.

As for spelling, since shortly after joining UM I rarely comment unless it is in the context of someone else criticizing, and themself making an error within that criticism ie I make a joke of it.

Perhaps you could be a bit clearer about the "warning" you mention. I have done a search of all my posts under the words "warning" and "challenge", and cannot find any record of my saying such to you.

I have met plenty of UM posters without incident or problem. I have no doubt that will continue to be the case. :D

:^o :^o My comments stand! The forum has avenues for counting initated threads and finding comments,it will take you sometime to find it all the comments and not so long for an initiated thread search. If you want to deposit a worthwhile sum of money somewher to bet on your claims,I would be more than happy to relieve you of it.But we both know that you would lose handily!
Of couse,I would claim my prior posts under BKKSTAN and NKSTAN!
How is it said?LETS GET IT ON!!! =D> =D>
