hello my chess friends,

was sometimes before to meet you at chess meeting at nobis reestaurant.

on july 16 did not come on july 23 nobody was there, they said you moved to book store, where played before, but also they said bookstore moved.

but meet on july 23 two new but more weak players from norway, they where in holidays.

now moved away from hotel top mansion, rented a house near nong khai bus station and local bus number six.

now also bought the only here available farang chess set in robinsons 240 baht very small 4in1 and magnnetic.

Hi Michael

The chess club is still at Nobis. 2 Saturdays ago there were only 2 of us there and, as it was an alcohol free day we went to the Book House to enjoy noks wonderful cups of tea. We left a message at Nobis in case anyone else turned up and the sets remain at Nobis for club use.

The Saturday just gone I believe was as follows for the regulars: American moving house, Dutch on holiday, German in Germany still, 1 English in the UK (I believe back this week), 1 English about to go to the UK and 1 English hiding to avoid repaying a loan.

I believe Dutch is back this week - perhaps he can update via here. Joris, there is a pm for you if the pm system is working that is!

but now have a visitor through couchsurfing from ukranie from 30 to 31dec he plans to stay with me. he is teacher and plays chess. he now visits asia, in the moment is in laos.

Every saterday, 1.00 pm at Nobis, (opposite Top Mansion) we will play chess.
Could be a nice alternative for the beers and the girls. Cheaper as well.

Hello to all chess players in Udon! I am Russ and have been playing chess for a long time. Most of my friends here in Fairbanks are gone so not much OTB, mostly internet. I will be in Thailand from the beginning of October to March and look forward to meeting all of you and playing some games.

Ofcourse he can loose a game. The question is now if the oponent plays
a number of games against him how many games he will loose. Met him
last night and he claimed that he won all the +/-40 games he played at the
Udon Chess Club till now.

Due to the renovation of the place where normally play, we will change the location for a couple of weeks.
