Ok as far as I am concerned it matters not what has been said to whom by anyone, the post was initially informative and has degenerated to a slagging match, therefore as in part a probelem to this post I will in future refrain from commenting on it. however I do take issue being told what I said was in anyway incorrect and defamatory, however the matter has been overtaken by events more far reaching than was originally envisaged.
it was a shame that an attack on a member appeared to be justified by some, whereas this sort of discussion was very useful to some and obviously a source of humour for others.
As I have previously stated these sites are used by people not only here in udon but elsewhere to ascertain what Udon is like, some issues are very important.
As a final thought, there have been some comments that the problem of parking opposite the Complex will be dealt with by underground parking, being a fairly intelligent chap, my input was where the hell are people goping to park while this is taking place. the comment made back was we do not know. This was from a person who should know by the way.
So until this town centre gets a remodelling job parking soon will be at a premium and businesses will suffer, from bars even to the night market, as customers will not get near to the retail outlets, and any parking will be full before we even get up.
So for those who put in a good post thanks, .

I wish to comment, not take sides but has there not been enough ill feeling in this forum the last few weeks?

To start with it can be entertaining when opposing ideas are thrust into the public domain but then it degenerates into the juvenile name calling, the verbal aggressive stances and the downright ludicrous I completely loose interest.

Swap opinions, ideas or anything else you want to swap, I was gonna say except blood fluids but we did that recently, but dude don't mess with my mojo.

Not all things in life are pleasurable but until recently this was one of them, I would read the forum and left after having a chuckle to myself but now I leave with a feeling about the sanity of my fellow man.

Maybe I am over reacting but the question in my head still remains.

Is it any wonder we still have wars when we can't even tolerate a few misguided words on an Internet forum?

 Temporary only Roy,it all works out in the wash.Cycles of life in general, and the forum goes in cycles as new ''personalities'' join and go through the blending and accepting phases!

Your post is well taken, but we are a mixed lot at best

Back on original topic for a while at least. Some recent photos of the late farang alley. Nostalgia for some, joy to others.

Good pictures Truebrit, thanks for keeping us focused!Do you think they are on schedule?

It is another one of those ''wait and see''propositons for me becuae I am unable to see the business logic involved with all the impediments such as traffic and parking!

It doesn't have any particular attraction to me,but I hope it works out for those that are attracted by it!As long as it doesn't increase the negative image of the falang expat visually!

The positive aspect of it for me,is that falang alley was removed from the sight of most Thais visiting the shopping complex!

Thanks for the pics Trubrit - would have loved to see one of Mr. Tongs shown at the moment. An oasis (of what I am not sure :D ) within a demolition site.
Back to the parking issue that Guns mentioned....
I am amazed that they are actually going to develop all that site into a mall so that the only place for cars is below ground. Man that is going to be one hell of a big building...
Looks like the centre of Udon is going to be mighty quiet from once they start building until they complete.... :(

:D That was truly nostalgic for me =D> =D> Now to your question!
I would say that it depends on 2 factors!

1.)If you have recovered from last night yet!
and
2.)whether you know the difference between Ironic and Iconic, critique and unique?

Don't ask me?
