This may be old news, but...
Just returned from Soi Samphanthamit. Today parking is on Nobi's side of the street, tomorrow Irish Clock side, etc., etc.
Of course, that didn't stop someone from double parking for 30 minutes in front of Nobi's.
well, the first couple days i noticed they were obeying the law, then friday night, both sides, the one half full. so, not sure, same saturday afternoon. maybe the boot trucks don't work nights or weekends.
as I understand it, odds no parking on side opposite to irish clock, evens parking the opposite side.
Obiedience well this is Thailand, but the police are using clamps so i have been told and if you park on the wrong side and get hit by a truck, it appears it could be your fault, so take care.
Sat having breakfast in Nobi's the other morning, found out those giant speakers outside D&N are for Tessa Bahn to advise residents which side to park. It went on for nearly an hour at full blast in Thai, followed by some stirring music. TIT So, learn Thai and get there early, you'll know where to park
It's odd and even parking on the soi my wife's beauty salon is located. Signs are posted about every 30 meters. One day I parked on the proper side for that particular day, but was given a citation because the car was parked against traffic. Just happy I didn't get boot
