Flooding'
Hi,
Just picked kids up from school, Bad flooding in Udon. Second time this week. Sunday afternoon was bad but today was worse. But the crazy way some people drive in floodwater beggers all. M/C's up past there engines and cars driving to fast and breaking down and causing more problems.
I don't know why, never seen flooding in the last 3 years i've been here
Cheers Doug.

I love it when I am negotiating a two foot deep "lake" with the motorcycle, feet up ,driving slowly ,trying to keep dry as possible . And some moron comes booming towards with his new toyota 4x4 and sending a 4 ft high wash ,over everybody. I guess its kind of like "well if you had a truck ,you wouldn't get wet."
This ever happened to you. Man I prayed to be taught patience and now I am living in Thailand ( should of been more specific !)

I think it will be a poor season this year unless the fish can mutate and grow legs to walk around the reeds, trees and assorted junk blocking the stream.
BTW you have a good memory.

Over at Romyen, it was flooding last week and 2 farang got soaked on their push bikes whilst trying to negotiate the flooded roadway near the muban shops.
The car just drove faster as it drove past them, and the bow wave and spash was huge, actually amazing, Tsunamai !!!
I suppose these guys wont go there again for a while.
Hope not they were the door knocking mormons and causing problems for the locals.
I bet they learn how to handle dogs, non believers, door slamming etc, but the Utah training CD of "how to be a good mormon in Thailand" , didnt include the Udon flash floods.

The Bible Bashers would put that down to an Act of God (even He has a sense of humour).wazza wrote:I bet they learn how to handle dogs, non believers, door slamming etc, but the Utah training CD of "how to be a good mormon in Thailand" , didnt include the Udon flash floods.
