I had, just sold house, but 1 sharp, 7 + yrs old, runs fine. remote just crapped out, could of been fixed for 100 baht, but I procrastinated, and left batteries in that crapped out, so corroded terminals, in process of tracking down replacement remote. also 3 Mitsubishis, all performing good, 2 are 5 yr old, one maybe 3-4 yrs old. all run and perform as expected. 13/16/18/24 K BTU's
13k btu should be enough for that room, as present landlord put one in place now and room a bigger than 3 x3 and handles it well. 16 in old house does 4 x 4 well, 18 is used in 8 x 4 room. all cool the room off, and if wanting to use blanket, will chill it nicely. the other 2, the 24 does the same as those 2, and the 13 is in the adjacent room, with open wall spaces to walk thru and old window that were taken out, making an very open area. those 2 cool those 2 rooms down fine. they get sun most of the day. total of 8 x 12 and 2 x 10 maybe, but never uncomfortable. will maintain 27 degrees with no problems. when phase 3 electric comes, shortly, there performance will be better, though not needed if just running 2 at a time. which is all that is necessary for that house.
pricing, I thought they were expensive, but old pricing, not helpful now, plus I forget. if I get a chance I
