Just heard that Max the CableGuy (aka White Mr. T) was relieved of his 1M baht doggie collar.

Anybody else got any info on this?

Yep, I've heard the same thing. Hard to feel sorry for this clown. Anyone but a moron would know better than to walk around in a 3rd world country with the equivalent of a nice house draped around your neck.

What I heard is some little cutie lured him out of his house and while he was 'playing' with her, a boyfriend came up from behind and laid him out.

You may have seen his picture on a different forum. His face is posted on some of the local farang bars with the international 'NO' slash through it. As in "Max not allowed". That should give you an even better idea of what kind of 'plonker' he really is.

I myself have warned Max about wearing so much gold and he took offence to it. Oh well it was just a matter of time. Don't feel sorry for him one bit.Would like to meet the cutie maybe I could retire.

Yes Merchant seaman absolutly correct, Mr 'T' comments were, many have tried, many failed I am not worried I can take care of myself.

Oh YES,,now no comments, saw him the other night, looking ok, but minus his gold. Shame for that to happen to such a NICE man........!!!!!!!!!!! NOT

Well I'm glad to hear he wasn't seriously hurt.

I'll miss his famous "gold stroll" though. Where he slowly walks thru the mall dressed in clown suit and wearing "Mr. T" bling while the Thais point and laugh.

When my wife saw him she couldn't believe it. She called him a "cartoon".

Would anyone walk around drunk in Cleveland bars wearing $250,000 USD in gold? That's an equivalent thing to do and not very smart methinks.

well i think a "som na na" is in order here what is the point to dress up like a christmas tree and make oneself a target i have been married 8 years and my wife and i have never wanted thai gold it is all materialistic crap in my view ... better keep the money in the bank ask Mr T if he now shares my views

Yes I am the same! I have never worn Gold. This to me is a status symbal."Look! I am rich!" But Thai people feel naked without some gold showing.They love people to think " I am not poor"
I think to walk around Populated areas showing how rich farang is, is bad taste.It dont give the farang a good image.Just makes them more envious!

There was always a question if all that Gold was real. If the crook returns it we will find out. Will be watching the news to see if a Thai gets arressted for trying to sell fake gold. Wouldn't that be a hoot!

the gold itself is soft as s - - t crap !! soon as i see a goon or gooness wearing a large amount of it im like "wanabee's
tip of the day = if you know you have a large amount of dosh keep it to your self rather that become a target for a thief and to look like a goon to the eyes of other (just a thought)

In all fairness to Thai's many dont trust Banks and buy Gold instead for a rainy day. I have seen my mother in law cash in some gold to pay a few bills and buy it back a few months later when she has some money. As for Mr T I dont know what his excuse is, but I have a sneaking suspicion he'll be a bit more careful in the future

that poor man, the first and only time i saw this idiot strutting about, thinking he was the dogs b~llocks , i just knew it was a mugging waiting to happen , what a complete self centred fool. i really dont care how rich someone thinks they are, you dont fluant it to people who have next to nothing , its just very poor taste !!! whatever thai did it, i hope he spends the procedes much more wisely than our self centred idiot.
