It would be if you wanted to be in town after the buses had finished when I would think the expensive transport would really occur. I would imagine offering 200 baht for a tuk tuk back to BB from (say) D&N would not exactly get them queuing up to run you back...
But (as I said previously) it does seem a pleasant place - as WBU says you pays your money & makes your choice..

Yes! I forgot about that. Paid 200 baht one night to get back to Nong Samrong after going to the Night Market.
