Popped into the complex yesterday ( Mon 8th), seemed quiet as most were visiting the fun at the park.
I would think visitng the town ok, do not wear balck or red or yellow, stay awat from Public park and Non prajak and enjoy, no need to worry too much, but if you HAVE to go near to those venues, reschedule.

It sounds prudent to be aware choey-choey. 30 minutes ago I bought 3 beers in a plastic bag opposite Tung Sri MUang. Some red-shirts there, drunk already - making impolite words to falang. Police is all over - most of them unarmed. Pick-ups and buses with non Udon plates everywhere.

I hardly am able to survive my wife and my child - I will stay put in the bathroom with the 3 beers ...

 Made you feel like a ''welcome guest''in the Kingdom, right?Falang is usually the scapegoat,so if there are no PAD members around to direct their anger at,I would make myself as invisable as possible!

Went to the Charoensri complex this morning and to the Water Office at Nong Prajak at lunchtime.
Both the centre and Nong Prajak very quiet.....no sign of any trouble and no sign of any police.
I think its only the Thungsri Muang area where its likely to kick off and to be avoided.
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

Was the timing of the meeting with samak last night all a coincidence since today there is a ruling whether he broke the law on receiving monies for his cooking shows he did a few months back.
Do u think that if the ruling goes againgst him that he will respectfully resign?
Wore blue top last night in D&N so was ignored only until desperate bargirls wanted inflated lady drinks [-X

SAMAK FOUND GUILTY
By The Nation online

Follow key developments of another suspenseful day in politics as they happen.

(Please refresh your page regularly for latest information)

"4.30 pm: Urgent: The court finds Samak guilty.

Six judges considered Samak to be the "employee" while three others considered Samak a business partner of the studio, a constitutional offence in both cases.

The court said evidence presented by Samak that he was only given transport fees for hosting the show "contradicted" payment evidence by the studio, Face Media.

The court went strong on the principles laid down by the Constitution against conflicts of interests. The judges pointed out that using definitions of "employ", "employer" and "employee" from different laws are not enough to tell whether the will of the Constitution has been violated.

4 pm: The judges have taken turn in reading the plaintiffs' and defence arguments. So far it sounds a simple legal battle. Samak's accusers said he was "employed" by a studio to host the TV cooking show, whereas Samak's defence insisted he was urged to help with the programme and by no means was its "employee". The court's verdict, surely , will have to touch upon definitions of "employ" , "employer" and "employee" and interpret payments made to Samak."

This is one bt of news I would not wan to deliver at Tung Sii MUn today.

Wow, where else in the world could a Prime Minister be forced to resign for doing a cooking show on TV.
Come on everybody sing along:

I must have dreamed a thousand dreams
Been haunted by a million screams
But I can hear the marching feet
They're moving into the street

Now, did you read the news today?
They say that PAD have got their way
But I can see the fire's still alight
They're burning into the night

There's too many men, too many people
Making too many problems
And there's not much love to go around
Can't you see this is a land of confusion?

This is the world we live in
And these are the hands we're given
Use them and let's start trying
To make it a place worth living in

Oh, Thaxsin, where are you now?
When everything's gone wrong somehow?
The men of steel, these men of power
Are losing control by the hour

This is the time, this is the place
So we look for the future
But there's not much love to go around
Tell me why this is a land of confusion

This is the world we live in
And these are the hands we're given
Use them and let's start trying
To make it a place worth living in

I remember long ago
When the sun was shining
And all the stars were bright all through the night
In the wake of this madness, as I held you tight
So long ago

I won't be coming home tonight
My generation will put it right
We're not just making promises
That we know we'll never keep

There's too many men, too many people
Making too many problems
And there's not much love to go round
Can't you see this is a land of confusion?

Now, this is the world we live in
And these are the hands we're given
Use them and let's start trying
To make it a place worth fighting for

This is the world we live in
And these are the names we're given
Stand up and let's start showing
Just where our lives are going to

 Now the cabinet resigns, the PPP relect them back to their old positions and nothing changes until they rule the PPP party is dissolved and then they are members of the PP party and are relected by the Isaan voters! In the meantime the countries cinches in its belt, the tourists decline, the prices are raised to compensate, the stock market SET goes to 600 and the rich buy the stocks and make all their losses back and the raised prices are maintained ,making the holiday more expensive for the foreign visitor that ,once the turmoil ceases to a less public spectacle, return in droves to complain after releasing their stored up sperm into all the new girls from the families that never recuperated from the financial loss!

Mai pen rai, sabai sabai,we ''welcome''you water buffalo all ATM machines work fine! ;)

There will probably not be any fireworks. As Git indicated, its only a formality that the have to work through. Maybe the PM won't be able to go to the United Nations meeting as he had intended (Remember what happened to Mr. Thaskin when he went to the U.S. two years ago), but if he remains the leader of his party, he will remain in power.

Stan, I have to admit to experiencing a smile or two at your extrapolation of the results of recent events!   You sure have an imagination!
