Time is creeping up to the Big Fight Night on Sunday 14th Septemeber,

Here is some pre preperation training coming from Stevie 'ALL HAIL' looking on excellent form,
Unfortunately we cannot get video coverage of Danny Doherty's training due to him training in a secret
training camp....

Limited tickets available from Marco 0898881560

I would like to see this fight, BUT.... IMO, 500 baht is a bit expensive for such an amateur event.

I think I'll stay in and watch the Grand prix.

Oldfield, I know you fancy yourself as a bit of a martial arts man...but please think of others? [-X remember that the falaang amateur events are listed at the top the poster for the main reason of catching us the falaangs eye for marketing reasons or interest?

Please look underneath and look at the fight records of the other boxers and you will see that is is far from amateurish and if you were to watch any of them perform in a fight or even in every day training schedule you will see it far from exceeds anything but pure talent and dedication. These guys are pure athletes...rough and proper tough...whatever their size...

The three falaangs fighting have now been training from 6 in the morning till 6 at night...approx 6 hrs a day with rests. They have put everything they have got into this next Sundays preparation for the fight so please do not put them down.

Soon those Grand Prix cars you love so much with feet up smoking pipe...will drive on their own and only money will control all events even after restrictions on performance. It's all a bit predictable...unlike boxing...BUT I do love the sport myself!

There will no restrictions on Sunday night and I hope anyone that attends thoroughly enjoys themselves. :fryingpan:

The history of Muay-Thai is really quite fascinating. When you realize that
many of the Thai athletes start as young as 7-8 years old, it is a brave farang
indeed that will step in the ring. My hat's off to anyone that has the courage
to give that a try. I don't think I'm flexible enough to kick anyone higher than the
shin, it takes incredible amounts of conditioning to do what they do. =D>

Monkeyman

Thanks for your interesting post. I understand what you are saying and I agree with you.

I was just saying that 500 baht pp is too expensive for such an event, IMO, and I won't be going.

btw, I used to go to competitions in England many moons back and it was free to get in.

Good luck to Steve - he's actually a really sound guy when you get to know him...I wouldn't mess with him.

Good luck to Steve
he's lucky i'm too cheap to pay 500 baht   , or i'd show up and take Danny's place, being a bit heavier, stop laughing, and kick some butt.    hey, stop laughing.

good luck to both, should be good match, if Danny can escape 1st round. =D> =D>

wonder how much admission is for locals.. :-k :-k :-k :-k :-k

500bt seems reasonable to me. After all how often is it that you get to watch a live sporting event like this in Udon.

500 baht does seem reasonable. If Steve fought on that
Japan circuit, even coming out of retirement, I suspect
he will be a formidable opponent. I'll chose experience
over young age here, I'm betting my two drinks on this.
