This has been really bugging me since yesterday so having given a great deal of thought to the subject i would like to welcome you to the forum.. I think it is underestimated by some that the general thai population of udon's only exposure to the"farang" is at Robinsons maybe, and weve all seen him!!! Vest, shorts, baseball cap wearing socks and flip flops!!!!! and hes 65!!! im not saying we are all like that!!!! also the occasional fight outside one of the not so savoury bars in town.. so i think any help we can get is a good thing1!!!! another form of exposure for thais to us farangs is through the tv show you present...which as long as its a professional programme representing us in a good light i believe you are in fact the farang population of udon's ambassador..
Wether we like or dislike the show or you even doesnt matter at all, you will still be there representing what i hope is a decent image of the farang in udon.
And after really thinking about it i understand why you messed up... it cant be easy to be mr khun paul all the time, sometimes when your sat at your computer in yr undies scratching your arse and farting,, maybe you want to drop that public face and let your hair down anonymously with us all.... thats understandable i think, however maybe you could have pm'd some of the regular members to let them know what you were up to and why, maybe it would be a different story now...
As some people know i am now involved with "Friends of Udon" yes blowing my trumpet!!! but if i may?? most people dont know how involved you are in helping this charity and i know you wouldnt be blowing your own trumpet over it....

So once again i would like to welcome you to our forum and i would hope that others do also

Khun Paul, we've known each other for well over a year now and I've always enjoyed your company. I knew you were the host on the TV show but had NO IDEA you were also Guns482. In all reality, I didn't like that guy very much although he did seem to contribute some 'fresh' ideas to the forum occasionally. As with the others (above) I hope you rescind your previous announcement and continue with us on the forum.

I did hear several months ago about the Guns and the newsreader.
It is very hard to be a man for all seasons.
I have enjoyed reading many sensible posts by the Guns since I joined.
It would be a pity if someone with knowledge and a way with words gave it all up.

you all can't sign in once a month and expect to keep up with the rest of the class guns482, the well informed but snotty little twit who enjoy his condensending attitude toward us little people, invented a friend to compliment each other in the ID khunpaul, actually his real name so not sure which personality is taking back control of his multiple personalities. except for his mental personalities, he does appear to be genuine helpful person on and off the forum, except for that self perceived uppity attitude. this is the same khun paul who host some news show on a cable station, which i honestly haven't got a clue about.

Well thanks for the vote of confidence, to be honest, I only get snotty and uppity when I feel certain members are in fact hijacking a perfectly serious and informative posat which in the main could offer good sound advice to othr members,
However be that as it may, some of us do consider the ribbing and caustic and sarcastic remarks as a way out of what could be considered boredom, as apart from posting and chatting with aquaintances over this medioum or a beer at a local bar, there ain't a lot for us farangs to do except be with our families or g/f's, amd too be honest I am sure most of us after a spell of 24/7 for three to five days any outlet is good, no matter what.
So I will try to be polite and nice, most of the time with out being condescending as you put it

Ther are occasions when I may stray from the striaght and narrow as we all do, and for that I seek absolution in advance

Oh well Guns is not dead just retired but he can still be a sanctimonious, arrogant , self centered chap, who will protect himself in all and any circumstances he feels threatened. I do believe it is called survival.

Oh well nice to be back I will entertain and remain friends to most an enemies to some I am sure, that is the way of life.
Pleae remmebr I am an intensely private person and i respect everyones privacy as if it was my own, by that I mean, although my public life is an open book and has been for over 40 years, my private life is not, and I ask you all to respect thanks.

Wellthanks for the vote of confidence, but if it is all the same to you, KP is a better postee. Now I am not saying Guns was a pain, well he was really, Stuck up, autocratic, arrogant and self assured, thats Whale island talking and although most of time he was right, his attitude did upset some people, but there you are no-one is perfect, my alter ego was good for my job and for what I did it saved me on numerous occasions, however in the public domain one must respect other peoples points of view however warped and odd they may be.
As many of us feel left out of things here, i try to make the movers and shakers see things in a slightly different light and we are having some limited success, but as with all things here, time is the factor, the more time we have the better it is.
We all get frustrated at lack of logical thought and actions here, their jai yen yen or mai pen rai is wonderful but so damn frustrating. So in that context Guns is not what is needed but KP, so I'll keep him, but Guns is waiting in the background and will surface if required, i know
but thanks again for your vote of confidence, I will bear it in mind on occasions.
