Be careful of Paraquat its a NASTY herbicide, u need to cover up when using it , inc gloves etc

Its topically absorbed ( Via the skin ) and its the only medical condition in the world , where u dont give O2 , If you give O2, you actually can kill the patient.

Antidote is Fullers Earth, ( Sterilised Dirt ) basically, as soon as its hits the ground it starts to neutralise.

Its a Favourite OD in Japan !!

I've found one of those butane gas weed burners works best.
Then pick out the roots with a hoe on a dry day.

Hey no freebies out of here get your own :fryingpan:

I don't think cementing over them would work amazing where they grow out of.

My concern is really more then cosmetic, we have in the neighborhhod everything from ferns to just plain weeks gowing out the drain openings. It would seem that sooner or later they will clog the drain system. The stuff in my home is easy, I sit up everything so it's easy to weed, by hand. Nice no brainer activity.

So what I see later down the way, roads that are cracked and becoming expensive to repair. Clogged darinage a very dangreous thing in the neck of the woods.

It would seem to me much easier just to take care of it now. We in First homes are not a part of Mobann yet nor do we have an effective Homeowners Asociation yet. The builder is finished so not a lot of help there.

Waht we do have a samll group of homeowners who have taken it upon themsleves to supply Security to the complex and some maintaince to be done on the parks. But since all are not contributiiing it is a very limited budget to work with.

So was looking for a way to inexpensivley deal with he entire drainage system a little at a time. Sounds like the chemicle would work. It also sounds as if a lot caution need to be used in applying it. What will be the time frame that pets and chidren need to be kept away form the area sprayed?

Don't want to kill all the neighbors just the weeds :yikes:

Glyphosate

Its used extensively in Western Australia to get rid of unwanted pests, that have migrated there, but seems to have got some resistence over the years.
