Everton defence = :censored: I don't know what is going on there. Used to be pretty good defence last season.

BUT Tim Cahill is back and he is in form. AND Saha, if he can stay fit is in scintillating form. But the question is can he stay fit. I certainly hope so. [-o<

A slow start to the season for the toffees but it's early days.

I'm no expert at this game so can someone tell me what has happened to Spurs??? Again it's early days but I thought they would do well this year.

Mystery to me too Gozzo - I have a number of their players in my FF team as I thought they would be 'up there' this year. Can only hope that they turn it round (not because I am a supporter, purely for my FF involvement with them). Apart from 'sulky' going to Man U they even seemed to strengthen their squad during the closed season - a good football squad producing good results is a mystery to us all I think (hence Irish Alan can still be convinced that Liverpool will win it :D :D )

I am a Gooner through-and-through, but can I take this opportunity to congratulate Hull on their memorable, commited win last night.
It wasn't a case of them parking the team bus on the goal line but their players seemed to swarm the park whereever the ball was, and Arsenal AGAIN seemed to fail to create shooting possibilities.
Perhaps Arsene should have fielded his Carling Cup, "no nonsense" winning side.

No doubt about it that Hull Citys was the result of the day ! Although tipped by many as relegation candidates they have already amassed the same number of points as Derby County did in the whole of last season !!
As expected,Chelsea won at Stoke and Liverpool had a comfortable win over Everton at Goodison Park courtesy of two second half Fernando Torres goals.
Man Utd beat Bolton 2-0 but the first goal,a penalty by Ronaldo, owed much to referee Rob Styles imagination :D .United dominated but still not wholly convincing. At least Ronaldo is back.
Good away wins for West Brom and West Ham but poor Newcastles appalling run continues, losing 2-1 at home to Blackburn.
Still early days but anxious days already for fans of Newcastle and Bolton.
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

This may surprise some of you but I am a one-eyed Everton supporter. :-"

I try not to get too upset over results in the Premier league but this really got under my skin and I have to vent my frustrations somewhere.

I just now saw the footage of the Tim Cahill red card offence. :censored: :censored: :censored:

That was NOT a red card offence, one-eyed or not.

The referee is  and deserves :fryingpan:

I see worse tackles than that not even penalised every time I watch English football. :yikes:

To red card him for that in a local derby that is going to have emotion bubbling over really stinks. ](*,)

OK Liverpool played well and I dont have Torres in my Fantasy League team. But still it's not fair. =;

OK, I feel much better now. NOT!!!

Agree Gozzo it was a bit harsh... Not the first time... Remember he got sent off for pulling his shirt over his head after scoring a couple of years back? Ultimately I think Liverpool were well worth their 2-0 win.

I know it is early days but who would have thought that end of September bottom 2 would be Spurs and Newcastle?

Chelsea and Liverpool still at the top.Chelsea beat Villa 2-0 and Dirk Kuyts injury time goal gave Liverpool a 3-2 win at Man City.
Arsenal also relied on an injury time goal by Cesc Fabregas to snatch a draw at Sunderland in a very disappointing match.
Arsenal are leapfrogged in third place by Hull City :D who had another excellent win at Spurs who remain rooted at the bottom.Ramos under a fair bit of pressure there now !
Man United had a comfortable 2-0 win at Blackburn with Wayne Rooney having one of his best games in a long while :D
Surprise wins for Boro and Bolton away and Portsmouth edged out lowly Stoke 2-1.
Struggling Newcastle grabbed a draw at Everton whose disappointing start to the season continues.
WBA continued their recent revival beating Fulham 1-0 to give them their third win of the season.
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

I've got a bad feeling about this weekend. This list of injured Chelsea players copied from the PhysioRoom would beat most teams.

M Ballack
P Cech
J Bosingwa
A Cole
J Cole
Alex
J Terry
D Drogba
A Deco
R Carvalho
M Essien

Terry might be available, which won't go down well with England supporters.
