It is amazing that this singer survived. I prefer the younger version.

She must be knocking on a bit now.I noticed she sang an octave lower than her younger days.At that age cant expect too much!She was never the same after the Mars bar episode!Good on yer MICK!

Well not when it(monster mash) first came out of course, but it did the rounds regular in the 70's....must of been 1975-78 i fink.....My sister had it on vinyl also so it got a lot of playing as she only had 3 or 4 records, the others were David Soul and Someone else..,lol, and i had a Suzi Quatro single. $\:D/$

I am the same as you BM, I was not around when it was originally released in 1962 but it was re-released in 1973 and made No. 3 in the charts. I was maybe even a little to young to remember that but my guess is they would play it on the radio at this time of year after that.
I just remember loving it as a wee lad.

i beleive , monster mash became popular in the seventies , cuz it was part of the rocky horror show . not sure if its still going , but it did the rounds for many years , great show where most of the audience dressed up for the occasion.

Now thats one 'show' i struggle to see what people like about it...never liked it, only seen bits of it, maybe its a fear of that odd geezer dressing up as a fugly female of sorts....makes me cringe.
