I seem to remember a similar incident in Kanchanaburi about 12 or 13 years ago where a Thai monk raped a British girl and then murdered her. It turned out the chap was a former gang member who had become a monk to try and mend his ways - obviously failed. Don't know what became of him but I can't imagine the Thai Establishment executing a former monk.

Yes i do recall that one westa's , and didn't he hide out in a cave or hid the body in a cave,vaguely remember the pics in 191 mag.

I lived in Kan at the time and he was caught because he kept her camera. They found her body in a crevice behind the cave. He was tried and given a 25 year sentence, subsequently reduced to 15 because he pleaded guilty.He was placed in the monk hood originally as part of his bail term from a previous murder.
