DEATH TOLL RISES IN PATTAYA IN SEX,DRINKS RELATED CASES
Following a report received at 11.00 am., on 24 November , Pol.Lt.Col. Sanae Yotroongreung, Pattaya investigator and his rescue team went to room No. 316, 3rd floor of Eastiny Plaza Hotel,No. 441/1 Moo. 10, Pattaya Soi 8, Nongprue, to find the dead body of Mr. Ellul Francis (75), an Australian national lying dead on the floor.
Mr. Ellul Francis was wearing a blue shirt and blue jean shorts. There appeared to be no evidence of any fighting or any unusual signs possibly indicating the cause of death.
The Police questioned his frightened companion, Mrs Muntani-un (41), from Nakornratchsrima province, who they found sitting on the bed waiting for them. She told the police that Mr.Ellul Francis had approached her for and asked for a sexual service, whilst walking on Soi 7, Central pattaya.
She explained, when they arrived to his room, Mr.Ellul Francis had drunk a lot of drinks before he had sex with her. After they had finished sex she asked for the money which he had promised to pay her - 500 baht but he refused and wanted to give her only 300 baht instead.
Mrs Muntani-un said that they argued for 20 minutes before he decided to pay the full amount - 500 baht, but when he stood up to get the money, he collapsed and fell to the floor. She immediately informed the hotel manager and asked him to call an ambulance, but unfortunately, Mr.Ellul Francis had passed away.
Officials believe that Mr.Ellul Francis died of natural causes. However there was no evidence that he had been suffering from any form of illness. The case will remain open until after an autopsy is conducted. The Australian Embassy has been informed of the case.
