I do know Jerome, but, of course he is French & I am not sure that I know him well enough for him to discuss his business dealings with me.
Next time I go to A Beer 2 Far I will see if he is around - he always used to pop in The Aussie for a game of pool when he had a bar in the old Soi Falang, and I understand that he is opposite John again now..

Hang on, wasn't this thread about the 'lost investment' at the Norway Bar?

Has anyone any information to further Phitoo's efforts?

Did anyone pop down to the bar to check things out?

Did you actually expect anyone to take any action beyond yacking about this?I doubt if anyone is really that upset about another idiot that loses some money to a Thai woman. The fact that her picture was posted and the bar named ,probably increased the curiosity factor, but definitely isn't going to ignite any action ,that isn't selfserving, for investigative desires of this stranger from Norway!

No, I suppose you're right. I always feel sorry for chaps like that - but you're correct, he's not the first nor will he be the last.

Better luck next time, Eric (if there'll be a next time)...

Happy new year everybody in this forum .
Latest news
After almost giving up everything in the end of november,I suggested for my heartbroked friend that he could try to join the Thai Love links where he could write letters with some ladies and in this way of communication more easily "read their minds" and better understand " the whole situation" .

So I did open a profil for him and also make him a Yahoo e-mail and set up the Yahoo-messenger profile for him ,whereafter I think it was 12 minutes ,there was 9 ladies who liked his profil and write that they wanted to move to Norway ,and he was really shocked  .

The following morning when he get out of his bed ,it was about 35 ladies from all over the country aswering his profil ,and he rushed to the bank for paying his gold membership so he could get in contact with the girls and also make a photo of him in his profil ,and when he came back ,the interessting group had raised to 57 ladies and what I belive was 2 kathoys.

At this time I was very bizzy taking care of my mothers funeral ,so I just tell him: Do what you want ,but don't send any money.I can help you with this later on.

After one more week the community had grown to 287 ladies mostly from Udon and Buriram, and he was writing "Hello how are you ,what you think about moving to me in Norway ",to evereybody of this mostly good looking and very poor ladies who wanted somebody to take care for them, and it was not a single one who didn't ask for money ,until he discover some faces he had seen before and then came visiting me in my house where he heavely breathing told me : This is the lady of my Danish friend in Udon,he have bought her a house and a new car,and this one is the wife of a Norwegian I have met too ,and he is making a house for her too :yikes:

After making two telephonecalls ,one to this danish man and one for the norwegian man, I belived there was NO christmas present given to their lovely and honestly "not same as all others " ladies at all

Christmas and happy new year was in familiar circumstanses for me quiet this year, but I still belived that something was going on with my friend, and I was damn right about it . \:D/

3 days ago he and his (former present german working thailady in this tread )beautiful thai girlfriend was visiting my house, and happily pronounce that she at this time had moved in with him, in his house.

After som quistions she told us that she didn't know "this wife of him from Udon",but her sister who lived in the neighborhod in Udon had told her that "the whole family "had moved back to the 6 mill.house after the totally "set up "for him failed.

One to divorce and one to love ,I cannot say anything else than : Better luck this time.
The advertise "AMAZING THAILAND" thrully include some AMAZING FOREIGNERS TOO

Just read the six pages from your posting......phew! Fascinating stuff! However, i plan to retire in Thailand, and through a friend living there, books, work colleagues who travel to Thailand regularly, this forum, i thought i wouldn't fall into any traps that seem to open up to the unsuspecting, like your friend, the Thai lady and the bar. I aim to not splash out money, BUT, felt being with your girlfriend would at least mean a peaceful retirement. Then i read of your of the Danish friends lady, and the wife of the Norwegian chap!!! That's just terrible!!! Perhaps i'd better stick to Spain, or Cyprus where most brits end up, hardly great, in fact not at all really, but would keep the heart from getting broken.....

So what you're saying is:

1. Your mate put himself back on the internet to find another girl who would like to move to Norway and found out that two girls that were with a Norge guy and a Danish guy were still looking for other Farangs despite being in relationships.

2. He has lost his money to the wife with the Norwegian bar and that her family have moved back into the 6 million Baht house.

3. But he has now got together with another Thai girl (from Germany?) who knows about his wife's family moving back into the house?

I have a feeling the story will have further twists.
