Well the bonus points are down to the panel......some points do get awarded and taken away after, noticed that a few times

Today signed up 2 players I've been watching recently, trouble is the double transfers over the past month have cost me 12 points plus a bit of money.
Mmmmm let me think.look into my balls..i can see the words..... Zaki ..:-k lol

always keep a watch on lower priced players that come up the rear fast...it don't take long before their value rises when they are in favour.

Just done a quick check:-
Players in this weeks "best of" team, selected using 5 national papers, so as no individual can influence the result.

Scores out of 50 (5 x 10) followed by bonus points awarded(in brackets).

Kirkland 44 (2)
Johnson 38 (2)
Jagielka 44 (0)
Cahill 37 (3)
Bassong 40 (0)
McCann 38 (1)
Arteta 39 (0)
Carrick 40 (3)
Pienaar 40 (1)
Rooney 39 (0)
Van Persie 39 (3)

Just for good measure the three players who got the bonus points in the Spurs/Everton game were:-

3 pts Zakora
2pts Fellaini
1pt Pienaar

I think they must get those clowns on UBC true to award the points ](*,) ](*,)

Not fair BM, think you are psychic? I've had my eye on Van Persie for a few weeks. Value came down after his sending off. Was going to buy him last week but decided he wouldn't score any points against Chelsea. :( and would wait until this week. Probably the kiss of death and Adebeyor will start scoring.

Bagged 9 points from 2 men last night Dependable Carragher was expecting more from Kuyt, stayed in pole..but for how long..!! went up in my head 2 head sitting in 8th not bad had a steady climb for weeks now so not all bad, the next few weeks will tell, main men better start performing, yes Zaki...what to do with him, If Adebayor starts up again he can come back in the fold i got the cash for an expensive player by making a little change in line up so no worries.
Options open at the minute....looked at so so many options but haven't hit the 'make transfers' option..
Well done to Brian Davis highest score and second is Galee a good score on a average week.
You out there Roy...? ;)

An open letter to The FU League weekly news.

I have just had a phone call from my agent, telling me that the Tuk - Tuk chairman wants to meet me for "afternoon tea" and a talk about football.
He reckons that although his lot are currently top, he can only see them heading one way during the rest of the season. Doesn't reckon that the current manager has the full support of the dressing room, and that there are problems looming due to the current managers "tinkering  " problems.

He said that he admired the way that I have got all my players playing to the best of their ability, and that my man management skills were second to none in the league. He said it had not "gone without notice" that the shirkers had turned round their season which with only 4 wins from 10 matches had looked pretty bad, but having now won 5 on the bounce (including beating the top two in the head to head league), they are now only 6 pts off the top spot.

I said to thank the Tuk - Tuk chairman for his interest, but I am a loyal manager, and feel that I owe the chairman/players and fans of Statto's shirkers for sticking with me earlier in the season, and I would be staying put ( unless he raised his offer by B50 a week).

Statts I think you mean't 'Second from the Bottom' in the league... Image

Another big weekend of games and frivolity is upon us over at the FU league of 24 carat gold plated Championship Champions...i am looking for big points from a few slackers of the past few weeks...mainly 2 'star' chelski players, sure they will perform well this week, 2 new faces to the team this week both strikers and they are sure to be putting the willies up the oppersition defence and keepers, training has been hard and long over the last 2 days...the sick notes have had a boot up the jacksy and down the road...all decent point scorers have been promised a slap up steak grill at a Bernie Inn AND a £5 voucher for Argos no messing...to spend on what they wish.

Wright Phillips ........ Doubtful
Richards ............... Very Doubtful
Robinho ............... Doubtful
Emerton ................Doubtful
Santa Cruz ............. Doubtful
Zaki .................... Slight Doubt (what they said before last game)
Mat Taylor .............Slight Doubt

Just made my weekly transfer ......... well he's fit at the moment, but whether he will be come kick off ....... who knows? 8-[ [-o<

Is it just me, or does anyone else think that the "stupid" rule, that allows Ronaldo to serve his one match ban during a "mickey mouse" cup match needs to be changed.
Won't be long before managers are telling players to pick up their fifth yellow during the game preceeding a MM cup game :fryingpan: After all they would have had next to no chance of playing anyway, as the kids and fringe players are usually given a game in their place.

Well another last minute decision costs me points. Had Owen as captain until yesterday morning, then reading that JK had said in a press release that he was going with 2 up front instead of the expected 3, I got cold feet, and changed the armband to Kuyt (just in case he felt that Martins/Viduka was a better balance).
Owen scores 2 and would have got 26pts, Kuyt only gets 10

Deffo the Wildcard for me in January.....rock bottom this week. :(
I'd finally managed to get rid of my third striker,Luke Moore, who has only got about 6 points all season.
I'd only got 5m to spend so thought I'd get Fuller from Stoke only to find his value had rocketed from 5m to 5.5m so couldnt afford him !
Settled on a guy called Ishmael Miller from West Brom who has been playing well but first game for me gets carried off and is out for the season !
Dont know about you guys but finding decent strikers is the main problem. So far,Torres & Tevez, then Rooney & Heskey, now Anelka and Bent.
The only one to do anything for me was Torres but looking more and more like his season is screwed.
Also these injuries.....the previous weekend Luke Young rated as very doubtful so I put him as 2nd sub.
He actually plays and is the star man.....this week I bring him back and he scores 0.
If I can get by till New Year then I can revamp the squad.....but isnt this what Messrs. Keane,Ramos & Curbishley were saying ! :D

Problem is Zidane I don't think we get a "cash injection" to go on a January spending spree...
Well the "dumb luck" approach paid off reasonably well again last week - not that I want to turn into the Glen Hoddle of the FF & bring in "alternative analysis" but the tarot cards or runes are starting to look more & more attractive.

Yes agreed on the strikers thing...Anelka has his moments but none are consistent enough, i find defence midfield better options.(but not pang-pang Lampard at the moment.. :( he could be on the chopping block soon) but that the 'fun' of it...you think you got a good team that week and get average points...and someone gets a hatrick who only ever scored 2 points...so everyone thinks to sign him up and goes back to crap points again... #-o (did it with Van Persil) But got my eye on someone, all depends what happens this week.
As for cash, watch the team values mine has gone to 106.5 million now, if you wild carded at the right time most of the star men could be in the squad, highest value teams are at 110 million..!!

Having watched the way that David Moyes has been setting up the Everton team (with their lack of strikers), he has been playing his three attacking midfielders further up the park, and Arteta has been "hanging back" for most of the game. With this in mind I've ditched him from my team and brought in a more attacking minded midfielder from a team that has three or four relativly "easy" fixtures between now and the new year.
I can see it now ........... Arteta scores with a 40 yd "screamer", sets up another, and then scores from the spot, gaining 3 bonus points ........ 18 pts down the drain

Remember if you have Man U or Wigan players in your squad, you may wan't to get rid of one this week, as you don't want to "PAY" for transfers next week :-k
