Blackburn have confirmed that Sam Allardyce is their new manager, signing a three-year deal. The fat man has been hawking himself around every job going since leaving Newcastle this year, and was turned down by Rovers in favour of Paul Ince in the summer. Allardyce became the obvious choice after Graeme Souness ruled himself out of the running earlier.

Cheers for that,Geordie :D
I must admit winning the Club World Championship by beating Liga de Quito 1-0 doesnt have quite the same ring to it as winning the UEFA Champions League or the Premiership but a trophy is a trophy,I suppose. Also United will have made a lot out of it financially.Lets hope they dont come down to earth with a bump on Boxing Day at the Brittania Stadium !

But Joe Kinnear is doing a good job at Newcastle.I dont think there is much chance of them going down and, other than the top 5,there is not much between any of the teams eg.Hull City 6th,Manchester City 18th.
Liverpool stay top after yesterdays results thanks to Robbie Keanes equaliser at the Emirates Stadium.I.A.and souness will be hoping their close friends from Everton do them a favour against Chelsea tonight.

And with "No Hope" of getting even a UEFA cup place by then, who will want to go there?

Only those who "couldn't give a damn", so long as the monies right, and they will just fill their suitcase (with money) and be off in the Summer to pastures new.

Did someone mention Anelka going back #-o

Did you check which channel they were being shown on?
They are showing a lot of games on the "Chic" fashion channel (Number 33 I think)

Thanks Statto will check that out next time. Did ask the people at the UBC outlet in Robinsons but they were as much use as a chocolate teapot and played havoc with my stress levels.

It wasn't listed, but I watched the Everton-Chelsea game on UBC.I think it was channel 28 or 27!Found it by scanning across thos channels as I had seen sports on them before. At first I was frustrated,as I got up at 0300 to watch the game and it wasn't on the usual sport channels!
