Quote from BBC Football
Inter Milan manager Jose Mourinho says rumours he is interested in signing Jermaine Jenas have only come about because he kept picking Jenas in his Daily Telegraph fantasy football team last season. (BBC Radio 5 Live)
Ah, so it must be good to play FF if even the 'special one' does.
I would be really interested to know where he came in the Telegraph league last year :D :D

Question?

I had Luke Young (AV) in my squad and noticed he picked up his 5th yellow card the other week, so I transferred him.
Does anyone know why he played last night? or is the FF wrong?

I'm not 100% sure Gary but I've a feeling Luke Young might have served his one match ban in the FA Cup last weekend.
By coincidence, his namesake,Ashley Young was suspended for last nights game at Portsmouth !

But its not all bad news.....for me.....I kept Luke Young in my team and captain Ronaldo scored a couple.
So I've got decent points for a change :D

Game week 23:
a good week i thought, top seven stay the same, Udron Speelcheckers managed by Ronno Beckham move up along with Ralph, Irish Alan, (don't call me Al)...moves down as does Roy..., Highest score of 70 Zidane, with a few late 60's scores, the gap has closed a little at the top two, Galee in 3rd but only 14 between us two,Souness still at the peak..., not a big scoring weekend ahead i think...

Very low scores this time around.....top score was only 51 achieved by Roy,farang and myself. \:D/
The top 3(souness,beer monkey and Galee) struggled with scores of 31,32 and 32 respectively......good old Frank Lampard ! :D
This next gameweek features two extra matches,Man Utd v Fulham and Portsmouth v Man City, with the FA Cup sandwiched in between. So it might be worth considering transferring in a player from one of these four teams....well,Portsmouth maybe not :(
I know statto normally gives this sort of advice but he seems to have disappeared recently ??

One final note concerning our friend,Irish Alan, who is no doubt feeling very happy this morning.....I am considering bringing in Torres over the next couple of weeks,as he is the only striker who has ever scored decent points for me.Can you let myself and any other interested parties know if he features in your future team plans........we dont want the hamstring curse to strike for a fourth time this season [-o<

Mange tout Monsieur Zidane mange tout. Well now that you mention it I will be sitting down tonight to draw up a plan. I want Torres back BUT I don't think I have the money so I may dump a high costing defender and bring in a lower cost one to finance it.

I don't know why I'm doing all this. I'm thinking of going home and getting done for speeding to try and get a few points.

I thought I had this game all figured out. Transferred Ronaldo and a defender for Gerrard and Vidic a couple of weeks ago. Well, Vidic has been pretty decent but Gerrard hasn't done a lot yet for my team. I had 31 points going into the Liverpool-Chelsea match and everything was coming up roses. NOT. Gerrard got 2 points and Lampard a -4. Bummer! That's my whine (or whinge) for the week.

Onward and downwards.

:( I know why Gerrard has not performed....Irish Alan transferd him in to his team. :(

good points for getting 50's, i knew it would be a poor week for most/me.

This week how ever will be great, will Lumperlard get his card over turned...????? is that a 3 match ban..?? i starred at my screen for about 2 hours late last night thinking about putting who where, buying him and dumping him, seems old Englebert Obama Humperdingle has the same fetish as Rodney Trotter...can't stop fiddling with prem players.

Lampard facing a 3 match ban? Ouch, that's gonna hurt. He's been one of my stalwarts all season but will have to consider a transfer. To the batcave, Robin!

You guys keeping an eye on Som nam na? Another good week. He's got a long way to go but...... 8-[

Don't ditch Lampard too quickly. Wait and see if his red card is rescinded.

Lampard appeal

Monday, 02 February 2009.

The FA has received a claim for wrongful dismissal from Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.

Lampard was shown a red card during Sunday's Premier League match against Liverpool.

A Regulatory Commission will hear the claim on Tuesday.

Lampard red card will be rescinded after Riley admits he made a mistake. Boswingwa kick in the back of Benayoun will not be investigated, but Wright-Phillips kick out at Delap after he had been fouled will.

Don't shoot me, I'm only the messenger. :D

And the bad news is ......... I'm back (good news for the greenkeepers in Kanchanaburi who can now repair their golf courses).

Did anyone notice who finished top of the January points scorers?

Lumpalards Red overturned...?!?!

From Goal.com 30 minutes ago...can't find anything else at the moment on the net though
Chelsea have won their appeal against Frank Lampard's red card during the Premier League tie with Liverpool on Sunday according to reports in The Sun, however, Reds’ defender Alvaro Arbeloa has taken exception to this.

The report suggests that referee Mike Riley has admitted that he was wrong to give the England midfielder a straight red card for his challenge on Xabi Alonso and his three-match ban has subsequently been overturned.
