Well I know waht my name was wonder what Ron's was I'm never going back there. Like everyone else I was having problems adjustign so I set down and wrote out what my life was like there. Had 100K year job I could hav went back to. But, when I read that I rememebr and I know it may have gotten worse but it didn't gte better. dontl think I have read for about three years now. Shared it with a friend who was haivn problems adjusting a few months ago. Easy to remember the fun stuff we tend to block out the reality. I recommend anyone do that who is new here and thinking of long term after three years I really didn't need it anymore.

One thing I firmly believe is Thailand is not for everyone. Takes a lo of courage to make that move back. Thing are not as good a they were once here. As an American i have rode out a bad time now and things are a bettre for me on the exchange rates now. Just had to really hnker down and be real careful wih money for awhile. Thailnad just stared feelign the effects of this mess last year, getting a real taste now adn it will be worse this year, Things will change on the exchange rate if you can ride it out.

Other people have thing to go back to in their home countries i don't, this is my home

True right mate... No Soi fantasy here, no blue pill trip, pissed up reality here.

And that's what where talking about reality.

It don't matter if it's right or wrong for you.

Most tarts here just want to survive and happiness with the right chap is a bonus.

This is a poor place, does it sound so bad when I say that 'they want your money but they don't want YOU!

Can't own nothing, politeness a thing of the past, ATM trips becoming more frequent... I'm sure you get the drift. But find it diffcult not to love the place. What a diabolocal conumdrum :yikes:

Time: Yep... I understand those halycon days. But great point about "I was" but that's change my friend.

Seen them come and go in my village (Ban Chai Porn near Nung Sung), stopped providing advice a long time ago. Everybody's an expert, knows everything about Thailand. I'm sure you've had this experience. No wonder even the thickest Thai laughs their flip flops off!

Just gave a great expanation and lost it in cyber land:

Not direced at anyone in particalur.

so you going to gte the short version this tie me, People hel;ped me when i came her, there w no fourm in those day. So got my information form the VFW guys. I had always felt I needed to pay that back to someone else that was new. Now the reality is all those people that I helped are not my friends today. It has always came back to bite me everytime. I have paid he check Bin.

Your a ride moer then happt introduce you to the guys put yuo on the ride list and let yuo know waht the riders in the community are doing. If your new to Thailand i will even baby sit you a few times. Give you the information that you need to be a afe a you can be riding here.

You want to find something or the bike I will show you where it is. I won't tell you who to buy from thats not my business. I also won't take you anywhere I have been ripped off in the past.

But always gets down to understanding Thai women and Sin Sod, not my business. Nothing more can be said about those topic's that is not on this forum. Teh the frustration of learning get to people. Then it;s those Thai's and this how we do it from wher we come from. Not intrested in listening anymore. This is my home I don't want to listen to tirades any longer about it.

We all ahev to adjust when we come here I've done it myself and have helped others to the best of my ability. But, I know where that leads. I have my own demons to deal with ](*,)

So beyond riding no newbies for me [-(

By the way thats waht I meant when I said it takes courage to change yuor life, either staying or going. But to sit around and continually complian drag you down and the people around you. Doesn't change a thing and erves no purpose. I think we all need an occassional rant, but when it becomes yuor life it's time to do something

Forget England it's too cold. Stay in Thailand and pull the reigns in. The storm will pass and the baht will increase.I know where i'd rather be right now.
