New Branch of Tang Ngee Soon Superstore

Tang Ngee soon Superstore, a popular retail and wholesale company in Udon Thani, recently announced that they will be opening mini convenience stores at selected locations around Udon Thani.
Tang Ngee Soon Superstore, a popular shopping choice for local residents because of its low prices, is welcomed news for local shoppers.
Ngee Soon have named their new convenience stores ‘Piek Mart’ which is Thai for Fresh Mart. They will begin construction of the first store at Nong Bua Road (Soi Kam Nanand) shortly, and have plans to open the branch inline with the 1st anniversary of their new superstore ‘Nadee’.

Mrs. Saowalak Werarattanaroj, the executive manager of Tang Ngee Soon said that the local people welcomed news of the new Piek Mart stores because the prices will be competitive and lower than other convenience store businesses.
The beginning of the ‘Piek Mart’ concept was supported by Unilever but they ran into problems along the way so the project was aborted. However realizing its future potential Tang Ngee Soon continued to work on the new project and Piek Mart finally came to fruition. The convenience stores will supply core products of the already established superstore and offer a salad bar, quick meals, snacks, drinks etc. similar to other already established convenience stores but with lower prices.

Good idea!
I've noticed that Lotus has some mini stores at different locations in Bangkok.
Hopefully, Ngee Soon will stock some Western food items at their "Piek Marts".

The store on Soi Nong Bua is already open, has been for a month or two. Didn't know it was part of Ngee Soon, but now that I do will drop by to check it out.
