Erawan worth a visit and to second what BM said about water and footwear only I don't wear high heels... 
Also you might want to bring a change of shirt... I walked to the top and sweated buckets... Looked like I'd swam with my clothes on.
Also on that map you will see Phu Phoilom and Thanngam waterfall... Your in-laws will no doubt be aware of these places but may never have visited ( if like my monster-in-law) so they will appreciate getting to see them.
