Re: Odd Pattaya News Storys...post here if you like, up to you.
some years ago, a dithering old fart managed to find himself traveling 12 hours by jumbo jet and 2 hours by taxi to a place of over indulgence, namely pattaya. during that first visit he met a real beauty - some years his junior, female, no tattoos apart from the obligatory stretch marks around the belly, breasts, top of the calves, under the arms, and the top of the buttocks (amongst others), anyway ... the stupid fool fell for this bronzed lovely and showered her with the finest gold, money, clothes - in fact anything she wanted he gave her willingly - in return she gave him the finest std available, lovely - so anyway, days went on and the love (as well as the infection) developed.......
the beautiful young lady this lucky man had found needed to go to bangkok with his support (money) to visit an urgent family matter and under no circumstances could he go along too. well, once she had got on the bus to bangkok the dithering old fart began to look, no sorry, search for clues to find out what was going on..
First thing he found was that he had an unusual looking dick, secondly he found a letter written in thai - which he had no idea what it said, so off he went to soi bisani and got it translated, and copied.
the contents do not need to explained except that the dithering old fart was not included.
so, needless to say, the bronzed beauty got black bin bagged.
When the ex love of his life returned from bangkok that evening and found her stuff in a rubbish bag, together with the thai love letter the dithering old fart had found , deposited with the hotel security she decided to call the police and claim that the remaining gold in her ex falang boyfriends possesion was, in fact hers, so - the police arrived and decided that she was far more trustworthy than the old *****, and demanded the stupid falang return the items. it wasn't until the dithering old fart produced the police with visa card receipts of the goods in question and the copied and translated letters that the case was finally closed and the infected fanny was told to p1ss off.
moral of this story - don't get involved with dodgy birds who've got a dose and a thai boy friend.

Drug courier arrested in front of court building
Acting on reliable information, police from the Dongtan sub-station on Jomtien Beach were able to arrest a 28-year-old Thai man on Saturday morning in front of the Pattaya Court building on Thappraya Road and charged him with possession of 1,200 yah-bah tablets.
The man, a karaoke bar employee, told officers he had been contacted by a man named Khun Bird to be a drug courier for a fee of 10,000 baht. All he had to do was take the large quantity of class 1 drugs to a pre-arranged location and hand it over to another but unnamed person. Instead, he was caught red-handed by police and will now probably face a long stay behind bars.

Five people wounded in separate shooting incidents
To the best of our knowledge it wasn’t a full moon, but Police and local journalists were kept very busy in the early hours of Monday morning talking to no less than five Thai males, all aged between 18 and 22, who had been wounded in five separate shooting incidents across the city. Four of the wounded men were taken to Banglamung hospital while the other man found himself admitted to Bangkok-Pattaya hospital. Of the five wounded men, one was shot in the eye and head in Naklua, one 18-year-old was shot in the stomach in Soi Ngern Plub Wan, and a third, aged 22, was shot in the buttocks and right leg in front of Nong Yai temple on Sukhumvit Road. The fourth suffered his wounds in the back on North Pattaya road and the fifth man was shot in the chest. Police are fairly sure none of the five shootings are related. In other words, they are faced with the task of finding five people armed with guns who are prepared to use them. It is thought all five victims had attended the Pattaya Music festival and may have stood on someone’s toe, or brushed against a person who didn’t like his space being invaded, or looked the wrong way at another armed reveller. Security at the festival being as tight as it was, police believe the shooters waited and followed their victims until they judged the time was right to avenge the perceived slight on their manliness and honour.

PATTAYA - HALF BODY OF MYSTERY MAN FOUND DEAD IN THE SEA
At 4:00 pm on 24th March 2009 Pattaya police were notified that a fisherman had found the dead body of a man floating in the sea in the vicinity of Koh Pai (Pai Island).
Pattaya police investigator, Pol.Lt. Col. Pongsawat Wongwan, dispatched a police team and a Sawang Boriboon rescue foundation team to Moo. 7, Naklua, Banglamung.
On the shore, police found a fishing boat pulling a dead body to the beach. The body had no arms and no legs from the knee down. Indications were that the body was of a man of large stature. Police found no evidence to identify him.
The police questioned the boat owner, Mr. Rapeepat Sang-jan, [24], residing at 70, Moo. 7, Banglamung. He said he’d been out fishing with four friends when they spotted the body floating in the sea. They then decided to use a net to pull it back to the beach and report their find to the police.
Police will continue to investigate and search for more evidence. They said the deceased could be a foreigner or a Thai.
However, the body would be sent to the forensic laboratory to try and establish the identity and cause of death.

Pattaya police swooped on an estate in Bongkot Villa Village in South Pattaya Road in the early hours of 24th March after receiving a report that a burglary was going on at one of the houses. A neighbour told officers that the empty house in question belonged to an Englishman who was away in Malaysia.
Immediately officers and volunteers investigated the area and lo and behold on looking up after hearing a noise on the roof they saw a young woman trying to escape the scene. Miss Rungnitidech (20) was finally cornered and captured. The young cat burglar told police that she was part of a gang going around on the lookout for opportune empty properties to rob. She was taken back to the station for further questioning which will lead to the capture of her fellow moggies.

Two thieves arrested at home
On Monday night police from Na Jomtien station acting on information received earlier in the day arrested an unemployed 30-year-old Thai male and his 25-year-old wife at their home and charged them with conducting an armed bag snatch on a foreign tourist earlier the same day in Soi Huay Yai. The victim was apparently riding a motorbike at the time when Pattaya’s version of Bonnie and Clyde forced it to stop at knifepoint and demanded the bag. Sensibly, the unidentified victim kept a cool head and noted the number plate and make of the thieves’ motorbike, which is how police were able to trace the couple to their residence. Considering the victim’s bag happened to be inside the home of the pair at the time police raided, they decided to confess to their crime. Police also discovered a small quantity of the class 5 drug marijuana on the premises. The happy couple will also be investigated for possible involvement in a similar bag-snatch case that took place recently in Laem Chabang.

A FAMILY have paid tribute to a father killed in a Thailand road smash after a coroner delivered a verdict of accidental death.
Gavin Mann was riding his motorbike on a main road near to the entrance of the Bun Samphan Temple, in the Thai resort of Pattaya.
Yesterday an inquest into his death ruled that the force of the collision caused the 40-year-old, from Middleton Road, Hartlepool, to suffer severe head injuries and he was declared dead at the scene on Sunday, March 15.
Gavin's brother-in-law ,Ricky Tarrant, – who attended the hearing – said the much-loved labourer was "the life and soul of the party" and will be sadly missed.
Ricky, a computer engineer who is married to Gavin's sister, Andrea, 36, a housewife, said: "He'd been doing some courses to enable him to get work on an oil rig, and had gone to Thailand to visit a friend.
"He'd only got there on the Tuesday, and this accident happened on the Sunday.
"We couldn't believe it, we still can't really. It's very sad and just a tragic loss of someone so young and so fun-loving."
The 43-year-old, who lives in Bishop Auckland with Andrea and their 15-year-old daughter, Leonie, added: "Gavin was full of life and was an adventurer.
"He loved his eight-year-old daughter Georgia and he loved travelling. Years ago he travelled round Europe in a Transit van.
"He was the life and soul of the party and if he was in the room everyone would be laughing. He was a natural-born joker. We can't believe he's gone."
Town coroner Malcolm Donnelly said: "On the balance of probability, Gavin Mann died as a result of an accident. The cause of death given by the Thai authorities is consistent with the evidence available to me."
Mr Donnelly recorded a verdict of accidental death.
Gavin's funeral is being held tomorrow in St Oswald's Church, Brougham Terrace, at 1pm, before burial at Stranton Cemetery.

ATM thieves rob Irishman
Boonlua Chatree
An Irish visitor had his ATM card access information stolen and was robbed of 30,000 baht from his account before he could cancel the card.
Irishman William Robert Lynch reports the ATM theft to Pattaya police.
At 1.30 a.m. on March 12, William Robert Lynch, 51, reported the theft to Pol. Lt-Col. Krit Siriprasertchok at the Najomtien Police Station after having it confirmed by Siam City Bank.
Lynch said that he withdrew 10,000 baht from the bank’s ATM machine on Soi Pattaya 13 and Pattaya Beach Road.
Some three hours later, a bank staff called to ask him about his withdrawal. He confirmed that he had withdrawn 10,000 baht but the bank employee informed him that, according to their record, he had in fact withdrawn a total of 40,000 baht.
He immediately realized that his ATM information had been stolen and hurried to cancel his card and reported to police.
Lynch said that he was an employee of international goods company in Ireland and had come to Pattaya on vacation.
Pol. Col. Sarayut Sanguanpokai, superintendent at the Pattaya Police Station, said that it was most likely the work of gangs that had been stealing ATM information in several provinces. Some are known to be at work in this city.
Police liaised with the bank, verified the ATM machine where the crime took place and will use the available CCTV recording to try to identify the thieves.
Meanwhile, in possibly a related story, Thai News Agency (TNA) has reported police in Chiang Mai have arrested a Malaysian suspected of being the leader of a gang of credit card detail hackers, who produced fake credit and ATM cards. Genuine card holders are estimated to have lost over 100 million baht due to the gang’s activities.
According to local police, Kok Mun Chiang, a 39-yearold Malaysian national, was apprehended at a hotel in Chiang Mai municipality last Wednesday as he was hacking credit and ATM card information belonging to a local businessman.
Also seized were a laptop computer, ATM slips for money transfers and a notebook containing a list of credit card numbers allegedly in the suspect’s possession. Bank account books showed that Kok and his accomplices had money deposited at various locations in an amount of approximately 112 million baht.
During questioning, Kok confessed that he and his accomplices had sold hacked details to networks in Malaysia and more than 10 European countries for 20,000 baht each. The buyers would then notify him by return, instructing him to clone specific credit and ATM cards.
Kok has been charged with counterfeiting electronic cards and faces a maximum term of five years imprisonment plus a fine of 100,000 baht.

Swedish Mystery
Swedish Mystery
Mystery surrounding Swedish tourist
Pattaya police were given the task on the afternoon of the 25th March of sorting out the situation of a Swedish man who walked into the station to ask for help.

Modern day highwaymen plaguing town
In olden days highwaymen on horses were common threats to the public on the highways around the world, now we have the modern day version, thieving gangs on motorbikes plaguing the streets of Pattaya. In the early hours of the 25th March, police were notified that two women riding along Second Road were ambushed by two balaclava clad men on a motorcycle. They came alongside and grabbed one of the women’s mobile phones and sped away towards Naklua. Unfortunate, for the ladies, Miss Preeyaporn lost control of her bike and both fell to the ground and suffered minor injuries. They were both treated for shock and cuts and grazes and then taken to hospital for a check up.
