LA pretty much said it all, Dr will be in about 5ish to give an evaluation. In the mean time Cliff is layed up watching the Gladiator on TV. He's in room 6008 in case anyone wants to pop in for a chat. I'll be around again this evening and update after my visit.

Sorry to hear about your problems Cliff. As you know now (if not before) us m/c riders need to stay especially vigilant when on the road. Get well soon. [-o<

Just back from visiting the old boy. Seems cheerful enough. His ever devoted wife Erai is at his side to take care of the nurses  His only injuries are a dislocated left shoulder and a few road burns on both arms. Was still waiting further instructions from the Dr when I left, but doesn't look like a long stay.
He had a few choice words to say about samlor drivers. This one was collecting scrap. He thanks everyone for their good wishes and the numerous phone calls he has had.

Well I'm glad the injuries are limited but pain is no fun. It doesn't really seem to mater much if your on a big bike or small one, things still happen. Sometimes being defensive in riding just is not enough.

Thanks for the update, doesn't sound like he needs anything if he does let us know. I have no intention of going and giving him the flu bug as well. I'll stop be the shop in a few days.

Then he can cuss samlor drivers and I can cuss dog owners that let their dogs run on the roads

Went back for another visit, looks like he'll be spending the night. The doc recommended surgery to repair ligament damage and gave Cliff the option, should know more tomorrow.

Gents, I'm not over there to lend a hand but IMHO, I think caution before surgery and a second opinion couldn't hurt,,,,, What say the rest of you "on the scene" gents. Here's wishing a quick recovery Pops.

i'll definitely agree with that, and already expressed that to Cliff. without MRI, a hard diagnosis. think a trip to KK Ram is a good option. they have good mri there, though i think udon just got one, and experienced surgeons, at med teaching unis. no need for surgery unless continued persistant after long rest, recovery, and when possible therapy. i've ripped enough muscles to know, they are painful and take long time to heal. if not, then surgery. but x-rays show bones, that's all. MRI time.

i try to stay off my scooter, rush hour and weekends, and i'm an aggressive driver, well, used to be. now i'm starting to drive my age

Yes, hope the injuries do not need the option of going under the knife Cliff.
Best wishes & a speedy recovery!!!

Cliff,
Sorry to hear of your accident. Here's wishing you a speedy recovery. Do get a second opinion on the surgery option. Bill & Wan
