Fantasy Football
Re: Fantasy Football
Congratulations to bm for his excellent score of 87 which narrows the gap to 62 between him and souness so we might yet have an exciting finish to the league.
I think its between those two for the title now, probably too much for Galee, myself and Brian to make up with only 7 games left.....unless Ronaldo can go on a scoring spree!....30 points for me yesterday but he'll have to do that and more every game now methinks.

Re: Fantasy Football
Yes a good week ta...a smaller gap at the top , nice scores too with 75 and a 74 very healthy, but desicion time for me...two more changes for the final amount of games...back to the holy trinity...possibly as i think a new lease of life has occured at Man U, so the final games will be good...not sure why i dropped Upson though... still never mind.
And didn't fancy the old Crouchy bandwagon...just as well really. surprised you dumped Keane Galee..

Re: Fantasy Football
Yes, well done BM, a good week for you. Dammit.
Keane?. Was looking at the bigger picture. Spurs have some difficult fixtures coming up and I needed the cash from his sale to buy Gerrard. Typical that my new Pompey players didn't perform, but again looking at the bigger pic as they have some relatively easy games at home plus the double header coming up, albeit that one of the extra games is against Man Utd. Not that that should be a big problem as everyone is scoring against Utd now.

Yes a fair reason for outting keane...still ,he settled in to the tuktuk11 very nicely, got his boots under the table already, got a similar situation this week myself, might have to let a good player go to make way for smarmy toofy tanned boy.... hesitating to hit the submit box though...done it about 8 times today, but still can't do it..

Re: Fantasy Football
Well, I thought I'd done ok - then I saw the rest of the points totals.
Well done. Clearly, some of you are doing a lot more homework than me and it's paying off. Some of my regulars are contributing well, others (Downing, Cahill - not a patch on last season) just ticking along. Villa's recent 'slump' has not helped me and think I could do with more in midfield. Losing Arteta and Laursen(back soon, but with the same form?) particularly got me with my self-imposed restriction on picking some players. Then, of course, if there's a thrashing and you have players on both teams, something has to give (I should have 'FIGUERED' that in Everton v Wigan).
Will nerves start to tell in the run in? Just who will be 'running round Udon with the cup'?!
Good fun though, eh?

Re: Fantasy Football
A average week for me...knew it was not going to be easy though.....top score of 72 for IA...the curse seems to have been lifted, good score young man. decent scores for Gozzo, souness,BH + som.
Made two duff transfers
Ronaldo(No 3 of the holy 3) didn't perform...regretting getting him in already.. and Herman.. , plus Van der sar was nowhere to be seen...Gerrard let me down.. Davis was on the bench.. just reliable Frankie Lampard who always pulls through.. =D>

Re: Fantasy Football
hey, beer monkey, you know what i was going to use my wildcard last week bringing in ronaldo and kuyt alongside lampard and stevie g.in midfield.
it would have meant losing torres but when i heard of stevies injury problem i decided to do nothing and kept torres and made lampard captain.
so what happens torres scores two and lampard scores and is man of the match!
what rotten luck for you,ha ha !
yes, irish allan scoring 72.a bit late after 30 dire weeks allan!
not heard from 747,aka alan chucklebutty, for a while.is he back in liverpool now?
chelsea v liverpool tomorrow.keep the faith irish allan.its not fantasy!ha ha!...honest.

Re: Fantasy Football
For the third time swapped Gerrard for Lampard and made him skipper. Ar$e Shaven was another nice little earner. 72 points is my highest score yet though I did have a 69 a couple of weeks ago...
Re: Fantasy Football
Does that one count in this FF league?chelsea v liverpool tomorrow
Be a good one to watch. Anyone know what time and will UBC/True be airing it?
Re: Fantasy Football
Naw PH only Premiership games....
Kick off is 17:45 UK time - so 01:45 a.m. Thai time.
Not sure about UBC/True (not being an owner ) but most of the games have been live on Thai TV - although you have to put up with Thai Analysis & commentary - if you keep the sound up that is

Re: Fantasy Football
Thanks, Bob. Was hoping for some bonus points after the lousy week I had.
01:45 AM? Well, maybe they'll show it again during hours when I'm awake.

oh nobody posting on here for a couple of weeks but its not over yet.beer monkey can still do it.hes a very smart guy and i expect him to make a strong challenge with it going to the last week.
84 points is not impossible to pull back.if one week you score 80 and i only get 40 your half way there!
zidane, polehawk and statto good scores this week.the main in form recently is irish allan who is saving his best for last.
i think the league is very good fun.whoever wins i think there is one thing you need a vey big slice of and thats....luck! ha ha !

Re: Fantasy Football
Well done to this week's high scorers.
Yes, not long to go now, but can't see you getting caught Sean. Sad news is that you won't be here to buy everybody a beer!
Rather like Martin O'Neil, I wish March and April just hadn't happened. Is it too late to change my team's name? I was thinking of Team Titanic! and strip to all black. Luck does play some part in it all. I bought Jagielka, who was playing out of his skin according to everyone and ....... Then Lescott, my captain!, just rested it seems. Spurs actually manage to get two at Old Trafford, but recent addition Keane isn't a scorer. Hoping maybe even to finish in top 3 at one point, it's mid-table for me.

Re: Fantasy Football
Yes nice scoring this week...IA has started getting form....shame its nearing the end though.
84 points between us.. , too far a gap me thinks have'nt been able to close it too much over the last 5 weeks so think you may get the winners medal Souness, but i am still plugging away at the extra points, Gerrard has not helped me hoping he is back for Newcastle game, even then will he get a full game...still not sure about Torres so don't think i will make a purchase, but need a pool player though...still first ever time for me playing FF and didn't really know what i was doing for the first half of the season, will go into next season with a little more knowledge and looking forward to it, i have learnt a lot last few months.

Change it any time you want Brian. Is it too late to change my team's name?

Re: Fantasy Football
Unfortunately for the OnionBaggers I have been on the missing list internet wise for most of the season and its a little to late to do much about it now. I can only hope to gain a little respectability as I still have my wildcard to play.
Roll on August so we can begin the fun again lol.

Seems she is on the missing list to BM
I am sure I will find her sooner or later though so Ken will have to suffice for the mo.

Re: Fantasy Football
Just watched a re-run 0600hrs today (ESPN). There can be some great 0-0's, but I found this rather tedious. Chelsea will be pleased and hope to do the business at home, but their gameplan largely responsible for an unexciting match. The second leg has GOT to be better.
