If anyone is interested, the Malaysian Government have upgraded their programme and it now includes an initial 10 year multiple entry visa which (quote)"allows you to come and go as you please".
The fresh incentives under the program implemented since 2002 in the country also included house and car purchases, tax exemption on pensions and foreign income brought into the country.
Participants aged above 50 years old are allowed to work part-time for no more than 20 hours a week in the approved sectors. Participants are allowed to do business and invest in the country subject to local regulations and requirements.
Their website uses words like "attract", "embrace" and "welcome" - 3 words you might not find on some 'other' countries immigration websites.

aznyron, you've truly confused me with your math...Currently the Bangkok Bank shows the US$ trading at approx. 35 to the Thai Baht and the Malasian RM trading at approx. 10 to the Baht. That makes the RM about 350 to the US$. Please correct me if I'm wrong because it wouldn't be the first time
.

Re: Malaysia My Second Home Programme Upgraded
At the moment Malaysia requires about 1.5 more dollars per month than Thailand. Seems Malaysia is shooting for the more high end retirees.

Re: Malaysia My Second Home Programme Upgraded
on second thought, all them prejudice and pre conceived ideas of islam, are surfacing. seems like if a non muslim, you get about the same treatment here, if not worst, being a foreigner in the court system.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MalaysiaThe Malaysian constitution theoretically guarantees religious freedom. Additionally, all non-Muslims who marry a Muslim must renounce their religion and convert to Islam. Meanwhile, non-Muslims experience restrictions in activities such as construction of religious buildings and the celebration of certain religious events in some states.[64][65] Muslims are obliged to follow the decisions of Syariah courts when it comes to matters concerning their religion. The jurisdiction of Syariah court is limited only to Muslims over matters of Faith and Obligations as a Muslim, which includes marriage, inheritance, apostasy, religious conversion, and custody among others. No other criminal or civil offenses are under the jurisdiction of the Syariah courts, which have a similar hierarchy to the Civil Courts. Despite being the supreme courts of the land, the Civil Courts (including the Federal Court, the highest court in Malaysia) in principle cannot overrule any decision made by the Syariah Courts; and presently are reluctant to preside over cases involving Islam in any nature or question or challenge the authority of the Syariah courts. This has caused notable problems, particularly involving civil cases between Muslims and non-Muslims, in which civil courts have ordered non-Muslims to seek recourse from the Syariah Courts.

I'm joking but no much, I worked a very long time to have a comfortable retirement and life. When I craok she gets the benefit od all that. So why shouldn't she agree to give me whatever years I have left where I feel welcome. That's not asking for much for someone getting a retirement at age 30 That she wouild have never had without or marriage at any age.. Malayasia is a short trip to visit and it appears to be easier to do from there then here. It is something to think about. Things really don't seem to be improving here actually just the opposite.
