Yes,you are quite correct.Christiano has gone as I dont think he will be risked on Sunday with the Champions League Final so close.A tough decision but no room for sentiment in the cuthroat world of the Udon Fantasy League !
Gerrard or Lampard quite possibly :D ....but looking at your team,Galee,I reckon you need another proven goalscoring midfielder to ensure you get 3rd spot.
Frankie has gone off the boil in recent weeks so if I were you I'd transfer him out and bring in Alan Smith from Newcastle and make him your captain.
No need to thank me......thats what mates are for ! 8)

Gee, thanks BM for that little gem of advice. Regardless of captain I'm confident my new player this week will get a hat full of points. :^o

Oh yeah, your new avatar is a bit overpowering BM. Sorry meant Zidane.

New player, dumped Davies for Cole. Just back from injury, playing a weak Boro who have to get a hat full of goals if their going to stay up. No point them defending. Could be worth a punt for you BM if looking for a differential to catch Souness.

Galees tip of the week. :D :D

Good call, Thought about Him last night, but will him come out all guns blazing...?? had him before and until he got injured he was a good point scorer, agree on the Davis dump...nothing happening there for a while, might just bench him, still got another whole day yet before i make another transfer

Effing game.

Made Lampard my captain and he's not playing. How many times this year has my captain been dropped at the last minute.
To add the icing to the cake Rafarotation f*cks me because he wants to give Hypia a farewell game.
I tell you what, if some people had my luck they would have topped themselves before now.

Results arent officially posted yet but theres no doubt that souness is the first Udon Fantasy League Champion....so congratulations to him ! =D>
Commiserations to Beer Monkey who did very well the last few weeks. If the season were two weeks longer you would have fancied your chances.....but theres always next season.
Not 100% sure who has won the very close battle for third spot.Certainly if Galee would have ditched Lampard for someone like Kuyt he would have got it but I think the three no-shows in your team might have cost you #-o
Its well after midnight now so I'm off to bed.Probably when I wake up in the morning and check the results it might be Gozzo has pipped us both. [-o<
But,whatever, many thanks to Gary for organising the league and I'm sure we all agree its been great fun,if not a little frustrating at times ! :D

I'll second that. Congratulations to Seán and commiserations to Beer Monkey who ran him close. Also congratulations to Zidane for pipping Galee for bronze medal. (That's me banned next season.) A big thank you to Galee for taking the time to set it all up. It put a whole new dimension on the season and made match nights that bit more interesting. I got a few odd looks in the night market when that banner would scroll across the screen saying maybe Crouch had scored and I'd throw my hands up and shout, "Yes!" I must learn Thai for fantasy football in case those lovely beer girls thank I'm a bit ba ba bo bo. ImageImageImage

Was a good tip...9 pointer, way better than me re-signing Arseshaven.... #-o , bad news on Lampstand not playing a bit of a surprise as reliable frank don't miss games, but he did loose form a bit recently.
My two transfers didn't work-out....would of been worse as i almost selected Lamps... :-" toyed with Kuyt and Van-persil...but went with Ar$e and Fabs... #-o

Congrats To Souness Sean, i knew you would hang it out, and that this week was going to be very tough for big points.

2nd for me,(although did get a green arrow in the head-2-head) 3rd Zidane who pipped Galee for that spot, Roy climbed a few places..must of been all those eggs he gave his team to eat.

What happened to the Crash Testicle Dummies this week IA..??. 8-[

And hats off to the man with the most transfers...would of been more if he didn't miss some of the deadlines..

And Thanks again to Galee for organizing it, will Miss it very much never knew it would be so addictive and frustrating....spent hours and hours each week and until the early hours of the morning, i even made a chart awhile back planning who was coming in and when...lol , but didn't always go to plan, should of put more into it the first half of the season, never played before and didn't know much about the players/teams...but learnt so much and can't wait for next season.
I am sure everyone enjoyed it.
Cheers all. Image

Thank god that's over for a few months. I can relax at the weekend now.

Well done Souness, BM and Zidane. Commiserations for the rest of us. Special thanks to those members of the league for whom football is not your national game. Not easy for you, hope you enjoyed it and will be back for another season of frustration.

As for my season, I could go on and on about my bad luck, :D , but did come second in my H2H league, so not too bad I suppose.

Well 7th. in our league, 7th. in my H2H so I guess I am a 7th. type of manager.
To be honest that exceeded my expectations (a way to have an enjoyable life is to have low expectations :D ).
Sadly I still feel I have learnt little from the experience and have no conception on how to improve next season (see cunning setting of low expectations for next season already :D ).
Having spent the latter part of my working career devising ways to analyse data to achieve improvements I think I will revert to type and try a mathematical approach. After about week 6 when this system is failing dismally I will revert to plain 'luck' and hope this will drag me to mid table happiness again....
Thanks for settling it up Galee, it has been entertaining, if not always enjoyable.... :D :D

Yes, indeed. It certainly brought extra interest to watching the games and awaiting results.
I'm off now to get a hair transplant in the hope I'll look my best for next season!

It was fun. Hope my team isn't relegated? Didn't have a clue at the beginning of the season and let the computer pick my players but got better as the year progressed. 11th place? Well deserved finish there but Ralph beat me out for the 12th spot so I have room for improvement. There was no way I could hope to catch farang's team and he earned 13th place, hands down. Actually, we were bunched in pretty good from 8th to 11th place. Congrats to Roy.

Like Gary, I transferred in Lamps this past week and made him captain but no regrets. He earned me some valuable points over the course of the year. A solid performer.

Congrats to Sean and Sean for awesome showings and finishing 1-2. Better luck next year, guys.

Thanks for inviting me in, guys. :D

well,i won the title.in the end i suppose it was a reasonably comfortable margin but i admit that beer monkey had caused me some concern by pulling back 45 points in the last two weeks.
this week i wanted stevie g back as captain but had 3 liverpool players already.i decided to transfer out kuyt but found out i couldnt afford stevie back by 0.2m.so i kept kuyt and made him captain and transferred in anelka for rooney.these turned out to be two masterstrokes.....of luck!! ha,ha!
so well done to beer monkey who did really well and if the league had 22 teams,as before, who knows what would have happened with another 4 games.
in fact well done to everybody.there wasnt that much a difference between top and bottom over the season and if som wouldnt have lost about 400 points in transfers he would have been up with the pack.
a special thanks to galilee who took the time and trouble to organise this league.
so thats almost the end of the season.good luck to the mancs in rome on wednesday and chelsea at wembley on saturday.i can say that without fear knowing that 747man is back in liverpool without internet access.ha ha!
good luck also to england in the two world cup qualifiers in june.
but beware the tide of power is turning fast in englend.dont you guys be dissapointed next year if liverpool take the premirship and champions league.....and irish allan wins the udon fantasy league!
calm down irish, calm down.the curse has been lifted.ha,ha!
till the next time.

sean
