Brit, and irish die in Indonesia

Post by douglas » June 3, 2009, 12:50 pm

A British man and a Irish woman have died in two seperate incidents in Indonesia. It is believed to have been caused by contaminated alcohol. It is believed they consumed arak palm wine with methanol. This is a home made drink. Gov. there is now thinking about cracking down on home dis. The man was in his mid fifties, the woman in her mid twenties.

From what I have read there are others who have died also. Commiserations to relatives.

From the heading I thought they had died in Udon.

Hi,
Galee, the report i seen only said two and in different part of Indo. The report said these were the first visitors to Indo. to die like this, but a lot of locals have died like this over the years. I personally would not try home made spirits, not even the Irish home brewed whiskey when i lived there.
Cheers Doug.
Sorry about the heading, copied it from the report. and with being full of the flu, not thinking right.
