Yes its beyond the pale, truebrit. Not a joke.I can't let the chains go all the way to Bangkok. :D I talked to my wifes helper, because I can't reach my wife. And my wifes helper said another girl told my friends wife that my wife went to Bangkok, but that was apparently wrong.A rather shocking piece of news.It makes a dude wonder,if you know what I mean.Im actually a real mongrel,English,Scotish,Irish and Danish.I will have to find a way to the bottom of my mistrust. When a person is away for so long, how does anyone really know whats going on?I don't want to be a Tokyo Rose to forum readers or a Agony aunt. :(

Firstly you posted a short post, not really giving much detail.
Members here are very sensitive as to some people make silly insignificant posts. It seems your genuinely concerned
of the real whereabouts of your love one.
Ok ,I can understand you concern. This is a big problem here Thailand. Unfortunately, here in Thailand ,a vast amount of women " have a bit on the side." whether it's for extra cash, or some sex who knows.
This maybe not in your case. But ,I don't know the % but quite a lot goes on.
I allow my woman to go to her village every week end. What she gets up to I don't know. Probably nothing. But the facts are there. She talks to a Thai man often on the phone.Says "A friend" I could think all sorts of things. But that's life here.
You will get the "OH my wife not same" from some farangs.......Ill say no more.
You need to keep a close eye on things. Why is she not with you? What is the reason go to BKK?
Difficult this mistrust! But I doubt you will get to the bottom of it.Thais are good liars!

Truebrit, did you ask her where she went? and did she lie ,I cannot understand why people in a relationship do not communicate ,my wife was getting phone calls from the brother of her friend here in capetown ,she says he was only being friendly .but i look at my wife and know what he is after, the next time he phoned she told him in english for my benifit that he must not phone her as I did not like it ,and that was that.most of the times the problem is with us,older guys with young woman is that we are insecure ,thats the cross we must carry,But like I check oil and water in my car I will also check whats happening in my relationship if I hear an odd rattle I will check it out even if the moter is still running smoothly ,

But you see LA. You are a rarity on here. Someone, who likes me thinks from the head, not the heart , or dare I say it, somewhere much lower.   :-"

Call me cynical if you want but the fact remains.Ive been stung, so have many others.Look at the times farang been ripped off .It's rife here! Do people think they are immune from all this deceit ?
They marry you for security and your 'snuff it' pension.
If you were in your own country, they wouldn't give you a second glance. To trust a person here is foolish IMO.

Strange thread.....
I believe that the OP is actually not in Thailand at the minute but in parts abroad. He has been told that his wife is no longer in 'town' (although I am unsure as to if that town is BKK or Udon) by a "friend of a friend" & his personal telephone investigations would appear to confirm this.....
And my wifes helper said another girl told my friends wife that my wife went to Bangkok, but that was apparently wrong
or maybe not :-k :-k :-k
I believe a communication failure is responsible here - although I am unsure by whom & to whom.....

May I ask? what is the disadvantage of being married to Thai. It is piece of paper saying you are hereby married to a thai. So what? Married or not? No House to lose, no property, and believe it or not I am happy. But I dont keep my head in the sand.I dont trust any of em ....IMO? if thats ok?
The man needs to know the facts. here. What would I say" No dont worry mister she has just gone to see her uncle"

Theres always more to the story than meets the eye.According to my wife,my friends wife is a little cheesed off that she almost set my friend up with her girlfriend before my friend decided to marry his present wife.Got that? She came to my wifes business and acted like a Khun Ying with my wifes worker, because she has a Falang now and demanded to see my wife.My wifes helper didn't say my wife was in Bangkok. My friend doesn't speak much Thai, and hes infatuated with his wife like most of us.To make a long story short, made up this story to get back at my wife for trying to hook up my friend with her friend.Yes,its a soap opera, isn't it.I could call my wife for a few days, because she pawned her phone and computer to help her niece pay for her college, yes money is tight now.Iam also at fault for thinking the worst. The women althrough they know each other now, because were friends, have zero in common and it appears no longer really like each other :D

Just one observation Doughness,

Have you asked her where she was?

You may find that she had a good reason not to tell you, ie, medical reasons or such like, and did not wish to worry you :-k :-k :-k .

When a relationship is long distance, the imagination can go into overdrive!

i wasn't going to post, as these topics are so off the wall, but followed it, and this statement is a 'red flag' if ever there was one. that's almost as believable as a sick buffalo.

be very careful, think you are in for a long or short ride, up2u, but i would cut my losses now.

NEXT :fryingpan: :fryingpan: :fryingpan: :fryingpan:

as stated before, phones work fine 99 % of the time. except when they don't want them to with every excuse from battery to bad service to stolen, to now, sold, to pay for someone else's kid's college. the ex....ex....ex used to use that one also, phone no work right. but i had no problem calling my brother from thailand, or her when wanting money. only when i wanted to talk, was it not working. even called one time like 2pm/2am thai time, and party at house. asking why party at house at 2 am, was told it's only 10 pm and party over soon. guess the world clock and GMT don't apply to thailand.

where was I...........oh yea...................NEXT :fryingpan: :fryingpan: :fryingpan: :fryingpan:

SORRY for the negative thoughts, but things aren't sounding right. 8)
