Local radio are just reporting the arrest of a 73 year old American(Californian) on charges of engaging in sexual activity with a 13 year old girl.Apparently she was selling flowers in the market and was seen leaving with the guy in his pickup, Bangkok registration.It was reported to the police who immediately traced the vehicle to an unamed mansion building who forced their way into the room and discovered him completely naked on the bed with the girl just wearing briefs, A camera was found nearby which upon investigation was said to contain a number of indecent pictures of the child. The accused said the girl offered her services to him, however the child said she was promised he would buy her a mobile phone. He has been charged and detained in custody. His name was given but owing to pronunciation difficulties I am unable to give it at this time.

I seem to remember very recently it was taking place on a wholesale basis in ireland with your catholic priests and your nuns, so as the saying goes people in glass houses and all that... So to tar the english, yanks and germans as the top peadophiles is a bit rich, when you think the amount of child abuse that has gone on for years within the irish catholic church, and its not one or two kids we are talking about here..... Dirty little priests using thier mask of holiness to perpetrate very un holy crimes against thousands of children!! Disgusting!!

if the report is true , no , im not doubting val , but this is thailand and some things do get mis reported !!!! and it is the girl i think it is , who has been doing the rounds for many years . not only would i want him strung up , but i would love to see her parents prosecuted for subjecting not only her , but her brother and sister , to the life they have ......... before you get on to me about , this is thailand and there poor , and this is a way of supporting the family . let me remind you , that there are many many poor people here , but they dont send thier kids into the lions den every night to get a few bob for thier alcohol addiction !!!!!! kids of that age should be in bed safe at night , not being pawed by some sad p~sshead , because they gave them 20 baht for a poxy dead rose .

I think many of us are guessing that it could be the young girl we have all come to know, the age seems about right.
I agree with you Saint that it is a terrible thing to do to a child and it was almost inevitable this would happen. I believe it is the child's uncle who sends them out until all hours as her parents are dead. Don't know how true that is but I was told this a few years back. It always rather sickened me when you would see her perched on some drunk falangs knee who would demand a kiss on the cheek for buying a rose.
