"Is Jetdic a pilot or another passenger?"
Although I have the ratings I'm no longer legal to fly, not sure what would be necessary to re-qualify here in Thailand, at this point it would make more sense to get a pilot license for my wife and buy her an airplane and I'll just be the mechanic.

I'm pretty sure there are quite a few DC 9's flying that were built in China under license from Douglas/Boeing.

Looks like HE used to be a fair ground worker........Maybe on "The Dodgems " ????
Re: Another airbus goes down.
My worst experience, 5 engine failures in 48 hours! Fortunately, only one at a time and the plane had 3 others; but as a result that route took 51 hours. But I now like planes with plenty of engines...... Also, on a DC3 which could not find the airstrip in a sandstorm. When pilot was asked how old the plane was - ' 5th set of engines and second pair of wings' was the answer - and '35 years old!'

Flight of the Phoenix - I can tell you, there were quite a few times i wondered if i would end up like that in the Sahara. Fortunately i was young enough then to still feel immortal, flying on those DC3's and Fokker Friendships. Also warned not to drive off the tracks because of the mines from WW2.....
