It iembarasses me to open this forum in a public internet shop and possibly have Thais see the naked and near-naked women avatars. Most of my internet use is in shops where young school children are the most frequent customers. The idea that Americans use the internet to watch porno is not something I wish to project.

Are what are young school children doing in t'internet shops...they should be out playing sports or knuckerling down to homework or extra studies, helping around the home doing chores etc....i suspect some are playing addictive on-line games.....

The Messerschmitt Bubble Car had a cockpit like an aircraft. It was derived from a car for the handicapped and was operated by levers.
The Messerschmitt factory got heavily bombed during the War, after the War, the Germans were not allowed to built planes so in 1950 the factory was restored and small cars were made.

I would agree with you TJ, at least as far as the more risque Avatars are concerned. Or that members should be more mindful in their choice of Avatar, though that might be asking too much. I toned mine down some time ago, for that very reason.

We currently have a 10 year old girl staying with us, and she is often leaning over my shoulder, or sat next to me, and is very quick to point out anything inappropriate that she sees and says "mai dee".

I did ask Lee a while back if a "low graphics" version of the Forum was a possibility on log in.
No avatars, pictures in post or videos - just the text. I was interested because, at the time, I was signing onto the net on GPRS & the high graphics version of the Forum just took ages to load, but it would also work for anyone in a public area.
I think he thought it was a possibility but phpBB went and updated their software not long after. Maybe he can have a look again when he has the time.....

You can block the avatars easily enough if you use Firefox.

My favourite avatar is Fawn's tribute to myself. I've not had anyone have a crush on me for a year or two until now.
