Michael Jackson's Pepsi Advert Accident

Post by Fawn » July 19, 2009, 1:02 am

Here's the famous Pepsi advert accident 25 years ago when MJ's hair caught fire. Looks like the chap didn't realise 'til the crew initiated the fire extinguisher.

----,,,,i never seen that, it reminder me of a flaming brandy soaked Christmas pudding, its as if it almost got extinguished when Micheal was doing his fast spins..and he can do fast spins, i read somewhere how fast they where exactly but i forgot what they said, but it was super fast, and man the look on the poor blokes face complete with bald spot, wonder how much payout he got for that, he looked great back then too, i suspect you wouldn't know if your hair was on fire till the heat hits your scalp.
And that glove he is wearing is predicted to fetch £100000 at auction I predict it will go double that at least, if its the one with the lights on it.

Why? How droll.

Did you ever see the movie, 'Blow Up'? It has the Yardbirds playing, 'The Train Kept Rollin'', and during the song Jeff Beck has a problem with his guitar. Eventually, he gets fed up and destroys the thing and throws part of it into the audience. The spectators get whipped up into a frenzy, which they did not do during the song, with everyone scrambling for the sacred relic. The hero, or anti-hero, David Hemmings, picks it up and walks down the street and dumps it somewhere. one passerby takes a look at the remains of Beck's guitar and throws it away.

What is the point of a lighted glove? It is not important like some of the hair of Elvis, the ball that Henry Aaron hit to pass Ruth in homeruns, Marilyn Monroe's....and all that.

To collectors its value would be how ever much someone wants to pay to own it,...an auction can get crazy, they predict £100k...but sure it will go higher, it will get the bidders putting their hand up right left and centre, plus phone bids from around the globe, now if anyone knew where the other glove was that make the pair could be worth mucho dollar, i think MJ's stuff is up amongst the sort after items along with the other dead greats.
