Post by pompui » July 20, 2009, 6:41 pm

Have just watched Home 2 news tonight and there appears to be a major incident in Steves bar, hoping it is repeated on Home 1 News right now. Picture showed gun on the floor and blood on a bed. :yikes: showed passport picture of Steve Ridgley.

Good grief !!!
I went to Mojo's a few weeks ago & was told that Steve had been taken off to hospital that day....
I certainly hope this is not as serious as it sounds - he has not been blessed with the best of luck while he has been in Udon has he?????

Just got off the phone with a freind in Udon. He tells me it was a pull your own gun out and hold it to your head job. Very sad if that was the case.

I can't verify accuracy but he knows someone across the road and thats the story he got.

I can confirm Steve took his own life and believe he had been diagnosed as terminally ill.

RIP Steve

I did not know him, but RIP for him.

I respect going out on your own terms though. Might be how I go too, time will tell.

LA, what do you mean "V's" ?

Poor guy, may he rest in peace.

One hopes that if he has a family, they are well taken care of in the future.

That was my first idea for 'V's' Yeah, I am with you on that, just fall asleep.

Besides condolences for family he left behind, my only real comment is that I respect his wishes to leave this life on his own terms.

His health for 3 or more years had been bad, do not know if he suffered a terminal diease, however his constant stays in a hospital were a drain on resources.
It is ad that the way he decided to end his life was so violent.
however it was his choice, a loss to his wife and her family as well as his family in England.
Rest in peace steve, you do deserve it. Paul

Very sad to hear about Steve.
I will miss his Cockney-Slang,always hard to understand for me.
I respect a lot what he has done.It was his choice, for me absolutly brave.
Rest in peace,Steve.

I just received this so the timing is close. The ceremony will be Wat Ban Khao San, I am not clear about the directions beyond that the temple is on the road to Ban Thad, pass Ban Thad continue past the Post Office and make a U-turn to the temple. The ceremony is slated to be at 1330 and the burn at 1500 today, the 21st. Sorry, I have no further on the directions.
