A ferocious day in the great UT today for old-timer... I had a few chores to do around my place and as the weather today was fantastic I took of my shirt, slapped on some WD40 and got stuck into my duties, sweated off buckets and drank a few cold ones.... when all my work was done and dusted I put my shirt back on and bugger me it was festering with those blo0dy tiny tiny red ants that took upon themselves to eat me alive, little barstartds. Hopefully I'll make a full recovery in time for the free buffet down mojo's tonite.

The chaps went night flying in their helicopter last night while I waited on the ground for them to come back. Got in at 0130 hours and I wuz up again at 0800 to deal with some screws, washers and nuts for an Agusta Westlands modification.

Managed to catch up with my Open University stuff last night while the chaps flew around the south coast.

Well today because it has poured down with rain for most of it, I did a little shopping this morning and then came home and made up some Salmon Patties for dinner tonight. Searched through the Forum for a while "nothing happening" and am now sipping on a couple of beers before the daughter gets home and takes over the house

What a blisteringly fantastic day in the great UT for old-timer today - stayed in last night except for a bit of very cheap but nevertheless delicious food at that place opposite Boss wedding shop on the phosi road, had a nice early night and woke up fresh as a daisy this morning feeling fighting fit, straight down the gym for a good chat, then back home and underneath the front wheel arch of my pick up to investigate an annoying rubbing noise that has been driving me bonkers - anyway I removed a large piece of plastic together with other bits and bobs that looked like the likely problem, and now the problem is solved - no more rubbing noise. However, the indicators are now in need of some attention.... happy days...

I got volunteered to be an actor for a thai film about blood for foriegeners and the lack of it , also the fatalities this lack of blood causes!!!! i had to be run over by a motorcycle, be a stunt man!!! chilll out in a house with my wife watching tv being the happy falang with my lovely pregnant wife, then poor pick had to pretend to see me run over and look shocked etc etc etc , who knows maybe it will do some good along the way??? at least the thais are interested in our welfare...and spent a considerable sum doing this production!!

Well today I was the proud owner of gifts from Dubai, brought by a workmate, Dates with nuts in, Bottle of Lagavulin 16yr and a bottle of 18yr Jura I foresee I special evening and a good night sleep, to be followed by the Inca quickstep in the morning
Then again I could forego the dates and just do the hangover.

Today i ate Crispy Ducks legs with a Tamarind + spring onion sauce drizzled over the top...steamed rice...and a couple of bottles of Beer, all prepped by the Wife..(apart from the beer)

Worked late at the opfit after our uber successful flight trial - then got stitched for another job with impossible timescales.

Reminds me of when I was quite small; about 5 or 6 years old. I had learned a joke and all of the adults roared laughing when I would tell it. I wasn't sure why they laughed so hard but I kept on telling it every chance I got because it made me immensely popular. The joke was about Edgar Bergan's two dummies, Charlie McCarthy and Mortimer Snerd.

Mortimer has a grocery store and Charlie drops in:

What a marvelous day today in the superb UT for old-timer - After sorting out the rubbing noise coming from underneath my pick up yesterday I had to sort out the wiring system today to get my indicators working again - similar to the job fawn does everyday I should imagine - anyway, all sorted now, However I discovered a nail in the bl0ody tyre - cost B60 to get the thing removed and tyre checked for puncture. Had a good old gossip down the gym this morning without breaking a sweat. Tonight - off to the NM to get some fishing equipment for the kids and a few well deserved leos for Mr and Mrs O/T.......

Worked overtime to get some modification kits to a customer today but testing more helicopters next week .

Threw my teddies out of the cot when a customer started imposing silly timescales - sought stress counseling from my Project Manager.

Lots of slow tractors on the Hampshire roads today, must be harvest time.

After your session I know the TV crew went on to Ralphs house. Wonder what he had to do ? They ended the days filming at my place where I was shown as the dutiful Farang husband and father. Going over my sons school work for the day with him, then strolling round the estate discussing the garden with my wife. She was later filmed in her beauty salon.
It was all to do with Ministry project of care in the community for the Farang and his dependents.The finished program will appear on NTV , the old channel 11 govt station at a date to be announced.
